In this video I dive into what Intrepid’s June livestream will cover, which is server meshing. It’s an interesting concept that I first heard a few months ago from Star Citizen, that if done properly on a large scale could impact how MMORPGs are viewed.

In my opinion it’s tough to feel immersed in a fantasy world when the game is lagging, and it’s tough to be immersed when one of your solutions is to zoom the character so far out you can’t see it.

We will have to test the server meshing during the A2 phases or whenever it comes out, but I am excited to learn more about their solution.
