Chronicles of Elyria ran its Kickstarter in 2016, and has nothing to show.

JMO but the $500 seems to designed to keep out the people whose only feedback about the game would be less than useful … ThIs SuCkS like comments …. If someone is paying $500 you'd better be doing it to give serious feedback ….. or you're kind of an idiot.
I think they put themselves in a tough spot with this whole Alpha 1 package thing. They will get major flack for not allowing packs to be purchased, and now they are getting criticism for doing so. Personally think they should have not opened it but I can understand. There were quite a few vocal people who wanted to be able to test and support the game.

i alaways tought it was going to be full open world, instanced content is meaningless, do i have to leave my instances in wow and ffxiv, to do ashes instanced content? why? whats the poing of the siege if the castle is not mine? if we take as an example Lineage 2, the castle was yours, and defending or losing your castle had huge implications to your gameplay, that was full of meaning, this only looks like a fancy pvp mode for something like guild wars 2

Is this for real that out of combat u can't see ur weapons or is it just alpha thing? If it is real then it is dealbreaker for me. I enjoy how my character looks ingame armor and weapons but if i can't see my weapons then comoon ….

Honestly very skeptical, they are pulling many strategies similar to Star Citizen. They sell .JPG images with the promise of content for absurd amounts of money. Don't buy things that don't exist. Stay safe.

man, AOC is visually really coming together, really hoping the combat gets sorted and the content and systems are as solid as the graphical aspects. We will learn a LOT in May. Also, if this really is a 2023 release they have quite a bit of time to fine tune and continue to develop systems. It seems they are doing a good job of not rushing the production of this game.
Nice video, I have been put of this game given the things I don't like about pvp in this game, the game for me is geared towards ganking/suicide play and sniping/ninja play and a select few guild members dictating the game where money will play a big factor in transactions also the locking content to one account ie having alts that will need to spend cash for the same item.

I'm a bit doubtful of these devs. From what I see, they make a lot of video content to tease about the game, but they haven't shown any (meaningful) combat or class mechanics in these videos. The only combat we've seen is with GM abilities, which were pretty boring and felt clunky.
Then I look at another video and they seem really keen to make hundreds of mounts and cosmetics. They look amazing, but shouldn't we be focused on gameplay before making mounts? All this on top of dogmatic fans is a recipe for disappointment.

Kira, steven clarified it after stream that it was his mistake saying cosmetics are one time use. So you assign it to one character at a time pretty much. Have to take it off one to move it to another. I think he was just poo brain since they had spent the morning recording those videos lol
