  1. As excited as I would be to see a new archetype in the testing, I don't see a reason to release something big like that on the last day of testing. Usually you would want some time for the testers to play with it and find all the bugs, then take all the feedback and work on it. Can't really do that if there is only 1 day of testing. I'd say more likely that we see both those archetypes sometime between the 2 alphas.

  2. Thanks again for more interesting ashes chat. Having things like ranger and fighter to spot test and build hype before the next alpha is a good thing. Will build anticipation leading up to the next alpha period.

I was thinking about the archetype system, and could not help thinking that as the system evolves it will need a lot of testing and a way to pit them against each other for PvP balancing purposes.

Do you think that a draft mode with 3 main and secondary archetypes then 3 gear piece choices in each slot might be both fun and practical?

Basically Fortnight meets arena death match maybe dropped into dungeons or unseen map regions that the devs want to test a little?

  3. I would rather pay 30 dollars, hell even 50, a month with no cash shop to be honest. Im sure im in the minority, but if people could afford 15 dollars in 1999 im sure they can afford 30 nowadays.

  4. I know this. I already paid and got the Beta on New World. Played it in the Early. Played this last one past a little. Releases at the end of August.

I'll be going hard core into it. It's superficially good, and they made some strong improvements. It will satisfy me until my REAL MMO comes available to me.

  5. Hey dude, <3 from Portugal

Very experienced MMO player here, sadly can't afford access to Alpha, wages here are too low for that.
Don't usually comment on youtube, but here goes a suggestion:

Do an episode of Caravan Blitz where you take a couple topics from the youtube comments. That would be great.
Also, i will leave here a topic i would like to be discussed because I think its very important…

What is your opinion on the Ashes team (eventually) showing the full map in some of the final versions of Beta?
I think the current problem with MMO's and many games, in general, are the dataminers. People find out stuff before the games/expansions even came out and generally it ruins the experience.

Also, someone the other day spoke about having a "book" weapon for mages and healers, wouldn't it be fun if apart from a staff, a mage could carry a single book in the off-hand? and the book would only give you stats + a unique spell that you could only cast if you had the book equipped, and there would be a lot of different books that you would have to find across the whole world… that would be great… 😀

  6. Why they don´t do cosmetic shops just with festive cloths, or casual cloths to walk in the city or to go to tabern, like old games instead of something to apply in combat gears.
Or like rust, musical istruments dlc for 7$, Beach house decoration dlc for 7$ things like that don´t damage the main game and makes alot of money

Gw2 is a circus by the way

  8. I’ve been absolutely DYING to see the fighter for months and months being a guy who loves bruiser classes, interested to see how they differentiate the fighter from the tank I’m thinking of doubling down on fighter too even depending on how the augments play out

  9. Cosmetic shop is fine. It is not p2w, even if you spin it in a biased way. Its also a way to support the company without the game going p2w. Actually it HELPS the game not go p2w. In what way do these people think a game supports itself?

If you cant buy a cosmetic yourself, why would you knock someone else supporting the same game you are playing just because they can afford it and you cant. The worst that can happen is your game thrives more with added support. There will also be plenty of in game good cosmetics to earn from what they’ve said.

My only gripe with Ashes is that the actual character cosmetics to buy in Currently cost a lot (higher then the $75 package) and you cant go back to choose what you like if you missed a month where they had something you wanted. In the end I sit here buying nothing for months on end because the cosmetic I really liked was over a year ago (example).

  10. The only hesitation I have with cosmetics are we still really have yet too see what the actual buyable armor sets will be, the stuff we get now thru the packs are supposed to be what npcs will have. Come release the cash shop armors could end up In the whole pay for cooler armor, I have faith that won’t happen but who knows till it comes

  11. That's funny to use the Fighter Iconic from Pathfinder considering how much inspiration AOC takes from Pathfinder lol. There's a new game coming out in September called Wrath of the Righteous based on Pathfinder, you might like it!
