  1. Woah I never was so early! Great video, as usual. I always thought people are overreacting to monthly cosmetics, since they said plenty of times, these are variants of what we will see and maybe even obtain in game for "free" (monthly sub…).

  2. dont worry, if the game is good, it will become crazy popular, tons of people already know about it. now we just have to hope the game is great when we get it. some bad showcases and such wont affect much at all atm, its already out there and in peoples mind.

  3. this game is so over hyped that boring the people or, more accurate, misleading the audience. is probably good for the game.
when it releases people will find unmentioned things more enjoyable because its unexpected..

  4. Why Monthly Cosmetics MAKE ME NOT EXCITED – a game that has a hundred armor skins, mounts skins, house skins, pet skins and ship skins all locked behind fomo and un-obtainable bundles from alpha/betas dont sound like a great game.
if the first thing i hear of a game is it got 100s of unobtainable sets why should i even give it a try :v

  5. Often they don't have much to show during livestreams except for new models. Think it may be a good idea to stream every other month instead, and make visual progress a minor topic?

  6. After playing SWTOR for almost 10 years, I can say that it is best if there is no cosmetic store. If Ashes of Creation (AoC) wants to do a monthly cosmetic pack every month to help pay for the development, then great… but all of those cosmetics should then be available once the game goes live, by accomplishing things in-game. Once the game goes live, the cosmetic store should shut down. Those players who helped fund the game, should have enough joy by seeing the game launch, and not having to spend the time grinding out those achievements that also reward these cosmetics. They should not feel a slap in the face. A slap in the face is like SWTOR who had crafters spend years learning all the recipes to craft amazing gear, only to have those recipes deleted from the game and their recipe books. Or a slap in the face is having cosmetics in-game earned by paying (in today's economy) billions of credits to a vendor and being told by the developer that those cosmetics were going to be removed from the game, if they didn't buy them now, they would lose the chance to ever get those cosmetics ever again, only to then reintroduce those cosmetics later for almost nothing.

  7. Hey Narc,
I know that I have said something similar before, but I don't think this can be said enough. You have a real talent for making this types of videos. The points you are making are well thought though, you are well spoken and sometimes quite funny 😄. If I was going to compare you with someone, and I mean this in a good way, it must be Asmongold. So there you have it, Britain's answer to one of the world's biggest streamers. 🙂 Keep up the good work mate, it will pay off.
    Cheers from Norway 🙂

  8. I think the impact on the game is way overblown. If this game is successful the % of players with these cosmetics will be very tiny. Imagine a year after release, the game is widely successful and everyone loves the game. You see someone walking around town in a cosmetic you have never seen, so you ask them "where did you get that from?" And they answer, "it was from a pre release early adopter bundle that I bought to help finance the development of the game" … are you going to be mad at this person or is this someone going to be immersion breaking? No. your going to be like "that is awesome man, so much better to have this crowd funded than have corporate overlords" …

  9. From what Ive seen they are putting a lot of effort into cosmetics, in general. As in along with everything else being done the art team is very active. I believe the game itself will have a ton of cool, earn able cosmetics to the point the buyable ones wont feel necessary or better even. I see this only as a good thing since its obvious they put a lot of good emphasis on how the game looks.

  10. Well, I haven't supported the game for a simple reason…
Hi, I'm Steven, I want to make the mmorpg world great again! We don't need your money, don't buy anything, but in case you want to here's 35 cosmetic packs of unique armors, all marketed via our great fomo mechanics, buy now or never get the chance again.

Have we actually seen any good looking ingame obtainable armors yet?
I don't care about what people say, I care about what people do, and since I ran out of copium today, I haven't seen Intrepid do anything but sell cosmetics and mounts for an unreleased game, much like Scam Citizen does. Damn, I feel so depressed after watching this, losing hope for the game -_-
