I don’t think Ashes of Creation not being for everyone is a bad thing. Every game has it’s niche and I’m excited to see what theirs is about in Verra.

We’re about a week away from the Ashes of Creation January development update. I’m REALLY excited to see what the Tank class is looking like because I think this will set the tone for 2023. Who knows, we might even be able to get into some of the augments this year which would be so dope to see.

  1. I want enough people to play so that the game is truly successful. Economic success by Intrepid will mean that more resources will go back into maintaining and improving the game. That said part of me doesn't want so many people playing that Intrepid has a ton casual players constantly putting pressure on them to dumb the game down. Steven and crew need to keep their backbone and not back down from their vision of what the game was always intended to be, as well as what it should be moving forward. I don't mind some things being hamster wheel…but there should be a lot of other achievements/titles/ect. that take genuine skill and intellect to achieve. I remember playing the original Legend of Zelda on Nintendo as a kid. There were parts of that game that would take days or even weeks to get past or figure out. Challenging play, or puzzles you had to riddle thru in order to progress forward. When you figured it out and moved forward there was a real sense of accomplishment. That has been lost with these companies catering to the everyone gets a trophy generation and it needs to make a return in a big way and I hope Ashes steps up to the plate.
