  1. A forced PvP system where I lose my items, read my free time, makes a game a hard no for me. I just don't have the time to mess with emo Andy that wants to sit at a choke point all day to gank people.

  2. Geez Asmon is terrified of not being able to make money off this game its pathetic. I bet his tune would change real quick if he wasnt a streamer and just played the game normally i bet hed be praising this game. Dude is trash. Games not pvp its pvx? The only reason u add the x in there is to show there is pvp with the pve u clown.

  3. PVP can be a risky choice but I personally struggle to find intresst in games that lack the difficulty, penalism and harshness similar to early Everquest and PVP.

Long travel is fun if it's dangerous rewarding and not to frequent. Like it was in Everquest travelling trough Kithikor forest, Karana or High pass hold.

Let's hope they manage to create something good.

  4. Aion back in the days was really good, people were PVP fighting over world boss spawns, I have my best memories from that. However, i dont feel these games will be super popular these days.

  5. everyone on the same server Isa terrible idea.. think about waiting for 20 min to kill that last mob you need for you quest and some asshole gets it down b4 you tag it. If you had everyone, that would be millions of people on 1 server? There would never be a harvest node up because there would just be people stacked up to mine it.

  6. LazyPeon is talking a lot about the 'risk vs. reward' aspect of PvP. Problem is as someone who has zero interest in PvP, where is the supposed reward? The risk is 5 sweats ganking me and stealing all my shit, the reward is what? Ganking people and taking their shit? I'm not going to gank people because I DON'T WANNA PvP! What i normally do when i get ganked in an MMO is just not move and let them kill me. If they're running around ganking people there's a 100% chance they're going to be better at PvP than me, so why bother trying? If i get ganked too much and it becomes an inconvenience i just stop playing the game and move on to something else.

Yes. Please give me a PvE server so i can have my tourist mode and give the devs money so they can improve the game for you fucks.

  7. Asmon is still butthurt that we corpse camped him in eastern plaguelands on classic vanilla faerlina. He called his guild, and even asked for swifty to send his guild to back him up. we still stomped him. So hard that he quit the server. Now we have a 99% horde server(effectively pve w. no alliance), but we still enjoyed the process of fighting for server dominance. Only low test pussies don't like competition

  8. I'm a PVE player and would prefer PVE, but I feel maybe keep PVP servers as the default and make a PVE server a separate thing. Y'know instead of the other way around that most MMO's do where the standard is PVE servers and then they have a PVP server.

  9. The only reason why people want pvp is because they suck ass at actual pvp games therefore in order to make themselves feel good they want to dump on casual players through mmo pvp.

  10. archeage only died because of the EXTREME pay to win and RMT that trion/gamigo refused to stop. alpha ran for months and was what everyone referred to as "the best experience in archeage". there also wasn't a cash shop at the time.

  11. I played both Mortal Online and MO2.
People Act like they want a game like those, when in reality they dont.
Games that Drop 90% of their Playerbase in half a Year. Because believe it or not.. you will get rekt in those Games. No matter how good you are.
Unless you get Organized.. and at this Point the Game will devour itself. Its either crush or get crushed. Big Guilds crush small Guilds small Guilds crush Solos.. Solos crush Noobs. And People will quit after they get crushed continuously. And the Order goes backwards.. until you have no one to crush… and then there is you, your Guild and an empty Sandbox that makes you rather want to play Minecraft. And if you think New Players will join at somepoint, you are wrong. Because joining a Game like this after 6 Months will make you feel like your are trying to build a small Sandcastle at the Shores of Normandy on D-Day.

  12. For the people who will not play AOC if they have to participate in pvp. Good, don’t play. Not every game is designed for you. Stop trying to ruin our experience by complaining the whole time.

  13. Yeah… I've no interest in PVP. If I have to worry about getting jumped by some no life basement dweller when I log in to just collect and sell mats… won't be playing AoC.

  14. I wonder why Albion online is never mentioned as an example/case study when talking about full loot pvp MMO, when it is one of the most successful games in this genre and still going strong.

  15. 1200 KM^2 is about twice the area of NYC. It's quite big, but if the game's exploration and harvesting are compelling enough it could probably go even bigger.

The map is somewhere between the size of a very big city and a metropolitan area, which may be too quickly explored if the game ends up having a population similar to Lost Ark.
