  1. I can instantly recognize AoC art for better or worse. Can't understand why some people have problem seeing it.

29:00 Soulsborn games for me. Instantly recognizable and currently popular aesthetics. It's not even unique, but developers have this fear of dark fantasy setting because they think it alienates certain audience.

    31:17 Mostly WoW
Grizzly Hills – Those thick trees you encounter and snow gradually appearing as you go more north. It etches in your memory. Not to mention the music.
Winterspring – a cozy winter landscape
Tirisfal Glades – Horror environment that kept you on the edge
    Gilneas City – Same thing
Stranglethorn Vale – Jungle PVP zone with cannibal trolls? Brilliant

34:24 For me, its Shivering Isles (Oblivion expansion) with its three regions: Mania, Dementia and Fringe. Such a unique atmosphere.

48:30 Similar? None. Character (races) for me are just a part of your overall look. Other being armor.
I am going to be super brutal and I do feel sorry for concept artists of AOC. They are doing amazing job at environments, props, buildings, mounts etc, but HOLY FUCK do they suck at designing armor. I am literally debating if I should give a game a go because how horrible, even end game, armor sets are…..
They call them realistic, but nothing can be further from the reality. Jagged edges, bizarre design choices etc. It feels to me like their art team is not using references when it comes to armor sets. Especially fullplate (knight) ones.
I am NOT gonna spend insane amount of time on a game if the reward looks like something an NPC would wear. They are not worthy of a NPC!

Differing isn't important to me. Good design is though.

As far aesthetics go, if they already had some inspiration from Pathfinder when it comes to certain things, they should go full DnD with their looks, but thats just my opinion.

51:43 The only problem I have with creatures is them using bioluminescent glow on EVERYYYYYYTHING. Hate the trope of glowing eyes on every single creature because in design its considered a cop-out. CHILL OUT ON A GLOW!

1:03:00 6 Everything looks beautiful except for plate armor sets. Especially Kaelar ones.
Not even gonna be polite about this. It must be one of the worst designed armor sets I ever saw in MMORPG.

Again, sorry concept artist and 3d modelers of AOC if you are reading this, because I know how hard it is to work on something just to see some random schmuck from the internet call it horrible. Look at it this way, you only failed at armor design, everything else looks amazing.
