  1. Yeah, I want to see a glimpse of how they'll make Tanks useful in PVP. With all other roles, it's pretty self explanatory. Healers heal people, Bards and Summoners buff and support people. But with the Tank so few MMO's have nailed the PVP side to Tanking.

  2. I could probably do a 45 minute video on tanking, why it is what it is now, why it can't be that in Ashes, and what steps could be taken to mitigate that. This livestream will be huge for me and tell me a lot about several aspects of the game.

  3. Yup until they start to do really big reveals instead of just 3 to 4 skills and very basic gameplay I will still consider Alpha 2 a long ways out. Hopefully we get a bit more this time at least!

  4. Told you ! If they did not change what happened in alpha 1 , which means no taunt . Fail !
    Threat mechanic with No Taunt = No Tank = No Pve !
    If they did not add a taunt skill the PVE is game over

  5. I'd like to see 2 gameplay videos for the Tank. One with just the tank and a targeting dummy/mob so they can break down each ability shown. The second video can be group gameplay similar to the cleric reveal to show off things like holding agro.

  6. Ya I think the community is beyond getting to see just basic skills. A little more detailed and in depth look would be nice. Also using a different character for a change would be awesome.
    I think people get so frustrated with just basic skills because it gives the impression that they don't have anything else. And it makes it look like the game is further away from release than we all expected. And maybe that's the case.

  7. The reason for me that tanks are often irrelevant, is mainly from single player shieding perspective rather than group shielding.
    It is this that is important in PvP rather than agro in PvE.
    DPS can be glass cannons, healers like wise but for regen capability.
    However, if it is the tank that offers group the main shielding/mitigation, like healer offer regen, then they become a problem that must be delat with and not simply ignored/avoided and left until last if even necessary.
    This to me is why tanks should be dedicated anti DPS, just as there shoudl be a dedicated anti heal/regen.

  8. I like the idea of timed blocking, but they need to put in a skill tree ability or talent or whatever where you can increase the window for timed blocks.

    Also they need to show Dünir tank. We need to see that model in action.
