Everyone seems to miss that it isn't necessarily GOOD news. Tell you just before Christmas so it gets lost in the rush.
My favourite Viking posting another awesome video deserves a solid like, plus/minus an axe in the backs of his enemies.
Thought of a new possibility. What is AoC missing that most all other Video Game developers have? Announcement: they are getting a publisher! EA or someone is stepping in to help rush the finalizing of the game and improve the cash shop. It's just what Ashes needs. … NOT!!!
Some new ideas I came up with are:
Crafting and gathering systems
New archetypes
Naval content
hope its some major game system

On videos like this where there's a list, can you display the topics and your points to help follow along? You got that theorycrafting mind that is able to take a topic and make critical points on it that other people don't usually think of like Asmongold can do so having them on screen to recap your thought process would help dumb-dumbs like me keep up. Lol. This video isn't hard but it's an MMO you're covering and critically thinking about anything MMO related is never going to be flat and simple. Really like the content and I wanna see the channel grow!
He would never call the replacement of the lead designer a exciting announcment. Atleast not to the public. Also why would it require a little more time before presenting it to the community. Either hes hired or not hired, and this would be a short mention in the video.

All this talk about UE5, doesn't make any sense, there is nothing preventing them from upgrading to UE5, it would take at most a couple of hours, anyone who knows what they are doing can do it in minutes no matter how bit the ashes project is
Things that could break going from UE4 to UE5:
– They deprecated, removed and changed some code, so the API changed, which means that the ashes team would have to replace these changed stuff they where using ( Would take a few minutes, the compiler tell the devs exactly where the problems are )
– Performance, UE5 is way heavier than UE4, but with a few tweaking in the settings they can get the game to run like if it was in UE4, but nothing will change graphically
Things that could improve going from UE4 to UE5:
– UE5 has a few new features, most famously Lumen ( good looking light, shadows, etc ) and Nanite ( static objects should look better for us ), i can guarantee you, they will not use Lumen, its too heavy, its an mmo they will not sacrifice the performance like this, and Nanite will probably be used, but we wont see any difference
