I have to disagree with gathering should be boring. As a crafter anything they can do to make gathering more fun will be nice. Look at it this way with your example. If all your are doing is killing mobs for xps, combat is not supposed to be fun, right? I mean after all you are only interested in leveling. Some of us may not combat as much as you so we should suffer with boring mechanics. Doesn't make much since… Fun for everyone…
