  1. Alpha Test is made for neckbeards who can put 10 hours daily into the testing period to give the team accurate information and good feedback. Don't get FOMO for not being in Alpha 2.

  2. Don't have 250$ to drop on alpha access though if I did have that kind of expendable income I would. If you could buy access in smaller chunks I would idc about the cosmetics really but I'd pay 60$ for alpha 2 access as a stand alone no problem. Sucks I'm gona miss it because I'm sure it's gona be a boat load of fun for the people that get to play it. I'll def be watching though so much excitement for the future and can't wait for the full release of the game. I want to play this game so badly :p

  3. pfff…. i'd better invest 200$ into my PC to make it ready for the release.

so here is the guide for the weak boyzzzz:
you're going to buy an alpha 2 -> opening a purchase page -> take 200$ out of your wallet and put it in to a stash -> HURRAAAYYYYY! you've just got 200$ for a PC build for the future -> still wanna buy? -> start from step one. After a few cycles you'll have enough money for a decent GPU

  4. For anyone who needed a definition for gaslighting without having to google it.

"I do not believe in spending $250 on a game that doesn't exist"
    Less than 3 minutes later…
"You'll help shape the future of one of the most anticipated MMORPG's in history."

Then you try to convince us that the $250 is somehow $20 dollars and justify how $250 dollars isn't a large sum of money to waste on a "game that doesn't even exist".

    Wild.

  5. Last chance to buy a package (with NPC cosmetics in it) to TEST Ashes Of Creation.
A2-B2 will take at least a year, so we won't be "playing" Ashes until sometime in 2025.

  6. Nice one!
Remember folks this is test platform, NOT a complete game. There will be wipes, focused testing, please log out then back in, etc.
But, if you like what you see and believe in the project and want to help guide its progress then get an Alpha2 key, and we will see you in Alpha2!

  7. Alpha isnt experiencing the mmo for the first time fully but rather a incomplete version of one with still potentially years to go development wise. Why are you trying to get people to buy a alpha 2 access which will probably be pretty expensive compared to the release price?

  8. Who in the actual FK would pay to play a game that is in the alpha state for some two years already and it is not showing signs of being fully released for at least five years. Are peoples that stupid with their money?

  9. I made the A2 purchase a while back for a number of reasons.

    1. The purpose is to help develop the game. I've always liked the idea of making games but I was never fortunate enough to gain the experience needed to be a part of the development process. But Intrepid actually listen to feedback and I've had actual members of their team respond to my comments. If they're actually listening and engaging, then I get do what I've always wanted to do and help shape a game, if even in a small way, like I've always wanted to do, with the confidence in knowing my words aren't falling on deaf ears.

    2. A2 will persist till launch. If equated by subscription cost, I'll be getting more playtime per dollar than I will after launch, plus I get extra months after launch already paid for. The cosmetics are just a bonus at this point.

    3. Been looking for an MMO to play with friends, and this one felt right. I've already got a few people committed to playing when A2 comes online, and we really want to play a fresh game that isn't already loaded with meta builds and an aggressive community.

There's other minute reasons, but those sealed the deal for me. That, and I'm good with my money and can actually afford such a large price.
