We need the Golden Age of MMO’s to come back! MMORPG’s are not made like they used to be back in the day. Most games are streamlined to the masses, & lack a focus. Others have pay to win shops that completely ruin the experience for most fans that would otherwise be loyal. The team at Visionary Realms, whom are making the upcoming mmo Pantheon Rise of the Fallen, seem to have an excellent mindset that I hope more developers can take on in the future. We need more companies like them! More Pantheon videos on the way, subscribe.

Do you guys think it is possible for the Golden Age of MMO's to ever return? Or are companies just too far gone these day?

Dear Wolfie, sorry to say I have to unsubscribe from your channel.
The reasons for my decision are your absolute competence in promoting your RPG
Games, the interest you generate with in-depth analysis , and background story.
This has caused me to buy/crowdfund many games, resulting in the wife having to do without hairdo`s and nail polishing, and the kids yet again playing outside in the snow without shoes.
Hope you understand!
Oh alright, was kidding about wife (and a kid who is older than you)
I think you have the talent to be up there with the likes of Cohh and Quill18 and am happy to risk
my wallet and marriage continuing to subscribe to your channel ! Good luck for the coming year my friend. Pantheon here I come!
About time! Pantheon is THE upcoming MMORPG. The only one that I am looking forward to.
If they can get it out it would be great to play.
Another one of these pvp crap mmos thats gonna go nowhere. I swear somebody needs to show devs of these kinda games that spongebob meme asking how many times we have to teach you this lesson old man. Listen there are only like seven of you that want this old school crap.
I was in my late teens /early 20 when these kinda games were coming out. They were trash then, they are trash now.
Is it being released this year though?
You love your buzz words.
Great video, thanks! This is exactly how I feel about Pantheon.
I love how he says it's going to make some people mad because it won't cater to them by making everyone the same * cough * cough WOW…they killed wow by making all the classes basically the same.
A really good video. A clear and easy to understand video. Looking forward to more of these videos!
The game is also going to require payment in both purchasing the game and paying a monthly subscription
As much as I love the style/ambiance of ESO, all my guild mates ended-up playing it solo: it was more fun solo 😛 So the guild fell apart naturally as folks simple stopped playing after 2-3 months maximum. You can individually go back to ESO for fun, where other players make the world feel more alive and you can interact, and sure you can purposefully look for groups/world events, but the game remains balanced for solo-play (with the exception of course, I presume, of the raids they added after we stopped playing).
"We are all zombies feeding the machine" … ! Damn ! Harsh but I agree challenge and teamwork definitely go hand in hand and make a MMO or multiplayer game more fun overall. Without challenge, risks and/or limited resources, cooperation and teamwork becomes marginal (just an option). So those upcoming MMOs ( Ashes of Creation, Pantheon, Camelot Unchained, and hopefully New World ) seem promising!
nb : I am unsure if New World will cater to solo or manage to incite folks to group up.
The death of the mmorpg is why we have so many other good games now! No, we do not need every developer trying to make WoW again.
In terms of balance Dota 2 just figured out the best way imo. Make everything broken in its own balanced way>>>> homogenizing options
As someone who played EQ back in the classic days, I'm super stoked for this game to come out someday. RIP Brad.
I love the idea. MMO's gameplay is usually boring except raids/dungeons in GW2. Actual teamwork is needed and extremely rewarding when your hard work pays off. Mindlessskill spamming is boring.
Looks interesting for sure.
Ashes has earned my respect because they post constant development updates, these dozens of indie mmos that claim to be the savior of mmo gaming that barely even have tech demos all set off alarms in my head.
TESO is wayyyy harder in endgame. Don't expect difficulty until veteran dungeons and hardmode trials
11:18 – You missed the mark with Elder Scrolls Online, that's how the base-game's dungeons are. When you get to the DLC Dungeons (45+) and into Veteran Versions of those DLC Dungeons they kick your ass, require coordination, the mechanics are thoughtful and fun, and there are so many epic moments to be had.
