Ashes of Creation is a challenging game that presents both highs and lows. In this video, I share some of the difficult moments I’ve experienced while playing, the struggles I’m facing, and my approach to overcoming these challenges. The core idea of the game is to grow, build, and seek solutions to the obstacles you encounter. Throughout the video, I explain the situations I found myself in and outline my plans for how to work through them.

  1. I played first phase solo and it was rough, especially waiting in lfg for hours. I highly recommend if your a dad gamer or a casual gamer is to join a casual guild and your experience will be 10x better. Ps when you die curupt you don't spawn at the closes ember you spawn at a random ember.

  2. The corruption system definitely needs some work. Right now I feel like it's exclusively punishing people who accidentally kill innocent players through ignorance, bugs, or corruption baiting. There have been people who've lost entire sets of gear due to similar situations to this. It's really dumb.

  3. I'm still following this game with curiosity, but it seems like the systems that are currently in play will successfully drive most of the population from the game. The class design and combat seem really strong but I don't see what the sustainable endgame is. I have not enjoyed the grinding that you are currently experiencing, in fact I haven't bothered since the wipe. By comparision, I loved rolling alts and levelling up through battlegrounds and open combat in Warhammer Online – a game that really thought about how players were going to interact with each other.

  4. I’m confused why that level 13 player looked red to you.

Alt F felt weird to flag up and easy to forget in the heat of the moment or to fat-finger. I changed my flag button to the End key. I don’t think anything else was bound to it, it’s away from my normal placement of my left hand but easy to hit if needed. I also figured “end” to me would mean I’m about to end this dude.
