I’m actually going to try to do a solo caravan run during alpha 2. I’d like to see the perks that come along with this and if it’s more beneficial compared to doing a group caravan run.

Do you think you can solo a caravan run or do you need a group?
Its possible that Naval caravans could be a solo viable path. I suppose it really depends on the customization allowed. Can I make a small and fast sloop that harkens back the bootleggers of old? The reason I think this is your first point, those rangers (admittedly balance is not there yet so TTK is unreliable atm) blew up that lone player which limits land based caravans.
Why would you want to play solo in a massively MULTIPLAYER game??
Too much solo content and progression is one of the things that has ruined the MMO community and made it toxic, l was just discussing this a few days ago with someone. That said it's not just that, it's a lot of things, but essentially developers have overwhelmingly pushed MMO's the wrong direction.
Side note: Killing a wagon like a mob is dumb, real dumb.
Final note for back to prime reality: Retain God in your knowledge. In Christ Alone. From this all good things flow.
Levelling and gathering are decent solo but should always be enhanced by group gameplay!
Beyond the lower levels, self-sufficient play in AoC is technically impossible, as the limits on professions make acquisition of gear without interaction with others an extremely difficult exercise. I expect solo play, in the sense of "unaffiliated:" play, to be fundamentally challenging, as every system thus far demonstrated is innately weighted towards group effort. I suspect that PUGs will be rare, due to the challenge/trust threshold. I believe that all the players who are accustomed to the ECDE model — perhaps the majority who have bought A2 packs in the last year — will have a very rude and unwelcome awakening on Day One.
