Ashes of Creation hasn’t even delivered there fundamental node and combat systems. The classes are also still work in progress.
When is Ashes of Creation releasing?

And there are many more things to talk about.
I hope they pull through in the end!
Biggest AoC problem is their garbage combat system
I was probably too much of an optimist when I purchased access to the alpha. I have also been coming to the conclusion for some time that their progress for such a production time is very poor. Unless they started making the game completely from scratch after alpha 1.
im going on diet since tomorrow so i up my chances to survive and experiance this masterpiece
this guy knows all the truth about MMORPGs
Probably about 3-5% complete with their release "scope" 2035 if it releases. Either that or they release in perpetual EA like Star Citizen 😉
God damn steven
They haven’t showed a majority of their systems, but the game will be solved by release?
You are basing your argument on it not actually functioning and just being staged for a showcase. I don't see how you can be that confident in that assumption. Particularly after this year's showcases. Yes they've had to manually activate things but that is required do to the nature of the large scale content. The question is whether the system is there and they are changing a variable to trigger it or are they manually staging an event at a location.
I don't think you can confidently say that one way or the other. Imo this year's showcases look very much like a functioning game. In the past it looked very staged (understandably), but lately you've seen builds with cohesive gameplay as Alpha 2 approaches. Obviously they have a ton of content still to make, but is the system there to plug and play the content as it's made. They need that to pump out content before release.
We'll see in a few months.
I dont know why but this game gives me hard cash grab vibes. Its so easy to make beautiful assets with unreal engine and thats what they do to mislead people into buying stuff. As soon as open beta will be available this project might crumble.
I agree with what you are trying to say, but its all speculation and assumption until we can play/test. It could be doomer and they really are only 5% done or they could be much further along and they just choose to not show off everything. Really curious to finally get an answer on this topic once A2 launches. I think this is something that will make or break people's confidence in Intrepid Studio. Also I think you can easily get an Alpha 2 key once Intrepid starts to do something with the content creator program closer to A2 launch.
Great video, addressed important key points, also some minor stuff left out but hopefully that is naturally revealed to those who have a look at the game
