  1. Hopefully a number of 'builds' are fun and viable. I always felt GW2 was a little bit of a let down in the number effective builds, given the number of choices. I enjoyed Rift's class system a lot as well, there were a number of interesting and very viable builds in it (it did suffer from some very simple but very effective setups that could spam 2-3 abilities, not sure why devs didn't make some simple changes on that). Of course, some players will go nuts complaining about the rock-paper-scissors setup, luckily AoC devs will just ignore them and they will eventually go away. Finally, don't play a rogue, I doubt that you have the right demeanor for it. (for example, can you complain endlessly that you can't 1-2 shot even tanks from stealth while also arguing endlessly that you should always be able to escape? I think not! 😋)

  2. I think the question is: "How different is a Mage/Fighter from a Mage/Rogue?".

    Does it have a completely different feeling to it? Is it just a different colour of the same shape?

    You also talked about augmentations based on religion and race. How much difference does that decision shows in the final build of the class?

    This is the feature/system regarding this game that I'm the most sceptical that they will be able to pull off properly.
