  1. Everything they showed in the Tank stream was fine, even in it's core pre-A2 form, all the tools are there.
When he used the Tank skills correctly, he had no issues holding hate at all.

  2. I liked seeing the tank. And i love Steven's goofy nature. But for a class showcase I do think it should be a bit more serious and the class should be played a bit more methodically. That being said I think a lot of people are blowing this out of proportion

Also intrepid did actually say this was the tank showcase. So this steam was meant to highlight the tank and some of the changes to it

  3. I think the problem is always the same. Most people like us enjoy the updates in whatever form they come because we are just grateful to have an actual connection to the development team that engages with us and listens, but there are always the few idiots that annoy everyone and are extra vocal. And I am not talking about the people who give constructive criticism but the dumb comments and unnecessary negativity that doesn't make any sense and doesn't help anyone. This stream was extra bad. I felt it too. Something was not right. I hope there is a way somehow to get a handle on it. Otherwise they will probably tone down community engagement if it's too toxic. I agree with everything you said about the improvements. There was a lot in that showcase. On every level. I am super excited as to where AoC is going! Love the team! It seems that no matter how often Steven says this is pre A2 and everything subject to change, people somehow still expect a polished endproduct. Keep up the good work guys! I love your show.

  4. I agree that everyone was being extremely overly negative. All i saw was Jahlon in discord spreading negatively. Like bruh relax, they're working on whatever they feel is most important at the moment. Everything will come together

  5. Most people were upset with the video because Steven wasn't good with the archetype, but he's a character more than a gamer. I love Steven because I already know what to expect out of him. I already knew he wasn't going to BE a good tank, but keeping that expectation in mind, I didn't mind what I saw. I prefer seeing the unscripted gameplay. It actually gives a realistic expectation as to what a real group combat experience might look like. Especially if you have a bad tank and how much a bad tank could impact your party. Steven does a better job showing off better tank gameplay with the new video, anyway. Overall, people do have some good points, but most people overreacted, I feel. I could go on, but this comment is long enough. Lol.

  6. I think we're at a point, where some people (streamers too) come to the realization, that dreams aren't the reality. I'm amazed by some content creators reactions.I enjoyed the stream, but I didn't expect anything but early iterations and pre alpha footage. Especially the streamers, where hurt because the stream showed, that the game( and the alpha) is probably further away, than they hoped, imho.If you want to see a narcissist feeling b.tthurt, because someone didn't deliver, what they wanted, just watch the jhalon vid. This is what delusion of grandeur and triggered entitlement looks like.

  7. In terms of the devs and their skill, it has no bearing on my opinion personally, they're showing off things they've made not making an ebic montage of sick plays. I think what they showed off was great but I never played tanks before so I have no baseline to go off.
I particularly like that shield wall spell making players pay attention to not just the enemy but the rest of the group.
One thing I'm not sure on is the mana/resource system, on one hand I don't like the idea of a tank having mana but on the other hand I would like a different take on it than what WoW has.

  8. I think you might be under estimating what "building your character" in AOC might end up as. I'm entirely hoping that you can make a STR bard that uses Sword and Shield and does a lot of melee DPS things in addition to his bard stuff. Sure it may not be optimal in the "buffing sense" but it might be a good build. Same goes for Tank. If they want to get their Dex up and pick up a Bow and use that in combination with Tank skills they should be able too. A wide variety of builds makes games like this fun. Your minds are very stuck in WoW/Blizzard forced bs right now.

  9. Of course people, that expect a promotional video, that presents/showcases a (almost) finished game, are disappointed.I am disappointed by all those content creators, that jump on that train for clicks and actively create the next AoC-drama.
The developer updates are not promotion.
The developer updates serve as a communication with the AoC community and to get feedback on current developments.
I don't want them to change anything and start promotional videos at this point.Wouldn't make sense. Everything is subject to change down the road anyway, so why show it in detail?
