  1. Pretty simple logic – don't wanna support it, don't.. But what else people gonna do if there are no other options? – if it doesn't release – you lose nothing. If it does, maybe it's good, maybe it's great, maybe it sucks? – still lost nothing but time. Which you're already losing with shit games

  2. Keep in mind when they swapped to UE5 from UE4 they had to recode a large amount of shit.

It makes sense where the games at now if you consider that.

So technically it’s almost as if the game has only really been being developed for the past 3 years.

  3. Lol you kill me, Steven was already rich and he has put in millions of his own money. I am not even planning on playing this game but please know a bit about what you are reviewing.

  4. After a while people actually can sue.
If they can find a video of him stating "this is a test, and we will be releasing the full game in a year". Than the full game isnt released after a year or more people could possibly sue for the false advertisement.

You just have to find the loophole in some video of his own in order to actually go after him and the company for their scam.

Sadly though, it seems he is very good wording it, and making sure they dont say something that could actually get them sued.

  5. Criticism isn't Hate, dooming, click bait, or wrong.

In fact…honest dialog can show how much you love something or someone.

Without criticism how can someone or something improve.

Narc is one of the only ones looking at the game objectively.

HIs community (The largest community following AoC) appreciates his integrity.

If Steven can't handle legitimate criticism…get off the interwebs.

Steven's post was pure gaslighting, completely condescending, and unprofessional.

  6. This is what happen when a man who made a fortune off pyramid schemes makes a MMO. Just look at the referral code's utilizing the same strategies MLM projects use, extremely overpriced cosmetic bundles shilled every month for a game that doesn't exist, and the vague statements about game features that make people's imagination run wild but nothing to show for any of those systems. Saw this coming!

  7. Steven was an Archeage enjoyer and he is using their business model by releasing the same game over and over in hopes it sticks. Archeage, Archeage 2, Archage Unchained, ArcheWorld, Archeage Chronicles.

  8. I'm pretty sure TnL was in development for over 10 years. If I have my facts straight, it was originally supposed to be Lineage Eternal which was arpg like lost ark. It was scrapped and turned into TnL so I don't think it's a good comparison. TnL was also developed by an experienced studio that has been around for over 25 years. Ashes is being created by a new studio that has had to grow as the dev.

Yes, Ashes alpha 2 is far from a complete game and has a road in front of it but TnL also had it's own bumpy road it went down.

  9. Wow you are so wrong on so much.
    1. No nda for A2 or Beta
    2. Streaming content is available, on the 25th.
    3. Keys are closed for A2.
    4. There is released video and text from AOC saying all a2 is covered through release. No additional fees until release.
    5. I have seen released game play with incredible graphics.
    6. Weather and land biomes are game play dependent. Good catch on biome vs ecosystems.
    7. If they shut down today, it would be a net loss. 25m to 45m a year in employee costs, alone. Another 5-10m annually in business expenses. Do the math.
    8. Wow you are so wrong on his house. Was bought long before this game. His husband is wealthy, also.
    9. Rogaine. Research it.

  10. Hey BlueSquadron, I understand more than anyone how difficult it can be to remain patient and supportive of something you are excited for that may be taking more time then you’d like. After all, I’ve been working towards the same goals for the better part of 8 years, with having put my own personal fortune where my mouth is with millions invested in the success of Ashes. Over the years I’ve seen content creators come and go, some went so far they feel off the deep end. And I say this to you, as someone who once enjoyed your content and passion, and to anyone else who shares in the feeling of your despair over the development of Ashes; it’s healthier to take a break and checkin closer to launch. We will continue to work on bringing Ashes to life. When the game is ready to launch, you can come back and check it out.
