  1. Solo player can mean a 100 different things. I don't think there's anything wrong with letting solo players get good items/loot, as long as said stuff is hard to get so it doesn't invalidate the hierarchy of progression. I don't want to see every paladin with the Ashbringer, for example

  2. I have to draw the distinction between support/relationships and combat. You can be a total isolated player without any guild or support system or you can just prefer to do solo content while being part of a guild. I personally, from time to time, fall into the later category. There are times you just want to get away, do your own thing without the drama or distractions. Is that solo play? You be the judge…

And I just don't like applying skills to determine damage. I like thebability as a mage Not to be locked in as a Fire mage and nothing else because I chose that skill. Reactants and Potions with limited weight would be my choice. Changing the damage type on the fly is not overly complicated. Just because it was difficult and incinvient forn you in one game doesn't mean it has to be in all games. Even back to the AC days, rangers had 6 damage types and mages had 4 and it worked very well. So it can be done if they choose that route. And your point of counting arrows is a bit of a straw man. Just because You found it inconvenient doesn't mean it has to be. Keeping track of arrows is akin to a warrior keeping track of stamina and equipment degregration, it's just part of the class.

  3. should also add mechanic that gives a big penalty for things like ninja looting… maybe make ninja looting possible but if you do not do any damage to the creature you get a criminal grave robber tag making you more visible to other characters as a ninja looter..

  4. With the bosses I can see it as you simply do a portion of its hp pool akin to BDO, which will give you a chance of getting random item drop evenly (Or potentially boosted chance if you are doing top damage). I don't see it as a group dealing damage and only that raid group gets loot (or it be weird if they did it like that). It still leaves the opportunity to stop rival guilds from getting look with guild wars between them but not being able to try to grief everyone so they can't get loot from a boss every time. Or atleast that is how i would approach it, everyone should have the excitement of getting loot, if it is only skewed to more organized people it will create a issue on the server where they are forever on top and more powerful.
