What is Ashes of Creation?

Ashes of Creation is a unique take on the MMO experience. Our world structure is dynamic and built to react to the actions of our players. Cities will rise and fall, their populations based on the history of the world as the players create it. Quests will unlock as these populations gather, their needs grow, and secrets are unlocked. As the world’s NPC structure is established in real time, players will have the ability to destroy what they’ve created, paving the way for new development, new populations, and real change. Political strife and intrigue will play a very real role in the structure of your world. Gone are the days of static worlds, change is here to stay.

Risk Vs Reward
All across Verra, you have the opportunity to experience massive warfare, participate in epic trade caravans, and gather valuable components to craft exquisite items. Not only will your fellow players be your adversaries; the creatures of the land and the very environment itself will pose a constant and fresh challenge. Will you siege castles to become royalty, defeat other guilds to showcase your prowess, shape the marketplace by being a successful trader, or earn renown by developing your artisan crafting skills? This is your story, you tell us!

  1. Tanner seems like a solid dude. He has a lot of house cleaning to do still (let's just say I have seen clips from today that aren't great). I don't think anything I saw was a ban worthy offense in itself (assuming it's an isolated occurrence for the people involved), but make no mistake. Dupes are NOT the only ban worth exploits. I can say that a 1 week suspension or a flag in the account will not be enough. The repeat offenders don't care about a week. They've literally stated things like "meh delete my toon, it's all of 30 hrs to max out another". It needs to be at LEAST until Phase 3. There should be no warnings as warnings have been given. It's time for repeat offenders (including repeats of offenses that wouldn't be ban worthy on their own) to pay an extremely heavy price, even to the point of being unfair. Rolling back the server in this case would 100% be reasonable. "Not every exploit is the same". Facts. However, it needs to stop being used as an excuse. Constantly partaking in low level exploits over and over when you know what you are doing is wrong, sorry but you need to be gone. You are bad for the game. An example has to be made this round or it will negatively impact the long term reputation of the game. Time will tell. I hope Tanner is right and the impact on his guild is minimal. That would simply mean his people were the small time offenders, which is only a good thing.

  2. For summoner discussion: I really want the gameplay to be focused around your summon and once you lose your summon you lose a big portion of power. That to me makes the summoner summoner. I dont want another mage or another ranger or whatever with occasionally using one spell that summons a monster to do 3-5 hits and die.
I really have hope after intrepid showed us bard. I had similar feeling when steven was talking about bard being done well in MMOs and I can't wait for summoner honestly
