  2. They did same thing that AoC did, except that the timeframe is shorter like "Q1 of 2024" instead of " coming in 2024". They still didn't say coming 3rd of february, or 17th of March.

But you still have to consider that what Pax Dei are doing is like a tent compared to building a 6 floors apartment building fully furnished that Intrepid are doing. That's why development looks faster for Pax Dei than Ashes of Creation.

  3. I dont think this is a big of deal as its being made out to be. Pax dei by there own admission doesn't have allot more built than just the building parts of the game if I recall what they have said correctly, while Ashes is significantly further along than that.

  4. I'm not thinking of Pax Dei's next Alpha as a few months of work. Most likely we saw an old build of the game in Alpha 1. They had plenty of development in the pipeline. It just wasn't ready to play. So they could be wrapping up systems over the next few months not completely implementing them. That may sound overly optimistic to some but I think that is just the most realistic scenerio.

  5. idk why narc keeps pushing this bizarre narrative that AoC and Pax Dei are "competitors" by continuously comparing them, no one that is hyped for AoC cares about a survival sandbox lets be real, they are completely different games lol

  7. The title is a bit clickbait-y but he explains this at 4:00.

Pax Dei is not as ambitious a project as Ashes (not even close), Ashes' Alpha 2 is intended to be feature complete, and Ashes' Alpha 2 will be PERSISTENT UNTIL LAUNCH.
Their alphas really aren't comparable at all.

  8. I prefer the Pax Dei method. I would never pay to be an alphatester, that just is not how games are done. Some studios pay alphatesters, not the other way around.
I luckily had the honour to be one of the F&F testers of Pax Dei and I have to give it to Mainframe, they have been very open with their testers, community and sure have always delivered excactly what they have promised, no more, no less.

  9. If we get the launcher before they leave for Christmas break I think Q1 is possible, if we don't I think it'll be Q2 or Q3.

My hope is that that's why the livestream is on the 19th instead of the 22nd. What do they have planned for those 3 days?
