It was great, lots of improvements!
But, not being able to find Fang for 6 weeks is unacceptable.
For an Alpha 2, I would give it a 8. What was in the game was already fun. Combat stands out as fun and solid. AS a game I would rate it a 4. Steven needs to get that some of the stuff in the game is not fun. Crafting for starters is just complicated and clicky. Crafting is taken from SWToR and it was the best crafting system. Ashes did not do a good job of making this fun. I could go on and on about things that are not fun but Alpha is figuring that out.
My biggest concern coming in to play the game for the first time is the combat. The videos I had seen on the live stream did not give justice to the combat. It has been so good, I played Ranger the most broken class in the game currently and it was still a blast.
I am loving the combat, even with the Ranger! It feels smooth and impactful.
