Intrepid Studios revealed the new map for Ashes of Creation and I want to talk about it today. I talked about the region names, the changes from the old to the new and threw in some lore as well. Thanks for watching, I appreciate all of you!!!

I think the map looks great – a map with diverse biomes is a treat to the senses! Great video as always!
We are told that Alpha 2 will be Live throughout, only down for patches, and also that it will be feature complete by the end. This would include Naval Combat.
It seems unlikely that the Alpha 2 map will be expanded with a patch, but they have to include enough to test Naval Combat. The Southern half of Vandagar does not seem like enough for that. The Southern half of the world would be enough, but I don't think Alpha 2's map will be that big.
Good Stuff
The orcs are in swamps
The Elves definitely live in the forests on Elyrium.
"Hundreds of years before the first Harbinger appeared in the Verran sky, under the rule of King Fentis Lyneth VIII, there lived a great Aelan explorer named Doren Greyshore. Doren sailed the first ships to the shores of Erinthia, where he established one of the wealthiest guilds the 10 seas had ever seen: The Greyshore Company. Their motto – to this day – still holds true: "The sails of diplomacy are driven by the winds of trade, within the seas of opportunity.""
I'm expecting a release date of mid 2025. Anything more than that is a scam. Monkeys high on fecal fumes could make a MMO if they had 10 years.
The rotation might have had to do with the Underrealm or to put the colder region further North.
The top to bottom has been verified as the crow flies….so you can add about 10-20 more minutes to the 50 due to terrain and rivers, etc….
