  1. Gotta respect the dedication you have to making content for AoC ! Even if we only see AoC launch in 2-3 years, i hope you'll still keep making videos at that time. (2-3 years is a long time, so you better give us a healty dose of copium until then)

  2. Ngl narc have to disagree with your view on Star Citizen. I think the game has been so poorly managed it might never release due to the company going bankrupt or being sued into the ground, but only time shall tell

  3. I recon just make new stuff and we will see dont be scared. Maybe label it as Series X or something. if it doesnt work you will see. Iam down for other stuff aswell 😀

@Topic. Intrepid shouldnt listen to negativ and trolley feedback instead listen to the constructive critisism you get from people that care about this game i think. And also if they take their time with the game and test stuff with the community, there will be space to rework features if necessary. the only thing that is a factor is money. how long can they develop this game without going bankrupt i guess. So maybe it would be a nice idea to open up pledges to the public like in Star citizen. Not big or huge pledges but smaller ones, subsribtion even 5, 10, 15 € a month to support the development.

I know this wont be a guarantee that the game will be finished but maybe it gives the devs more freedom.

    have a good one!

  4. This game will probably be great. But even with all the bugs New World has. I believe by the time Ashes officially launches, New World will probably be polished and be better than ashes for a long time.

  5. Mage fireball animation, Buff Dwarf Dwarf boi's, and Melee combat animations are good examples of Intrepid listening to good feedback. Another example is, Stephen's lazer lock on preventing any scope creep! While also saying don't buy the game, and the game won't be for everyone – these give me confidence they're making the game they want, I trust their ability and I feel Ashes is in good hands. Just like the old days.

  6. blizzard is a perfect example of why communism doesnt work, when everyone gets a legendary the word "legendary" just loses it's meaning. When people are being put in jobs because they have to fill quotas instead of hiring the "right man for the job". Pyramid structured societies are the way to go, especially when everyone has an equal opportunity to climb it and potentially reaching reaching the top. Sometimes the dream is enough to make it fun and worthwhile. The only ones that are unhappy in such a system are the entitled and mentally ill people with some type of personality disorder.

  7. WoW still makes a lot of money, so until it starts losing a lot of money, it may not change.

Do you really think that WoW listened to complainers? Could it be that the game director who designed really good raids and was an Elitist Jerk maybe never cared about leveling and so brought WoW in a direction that allows quickest path to end game?

Do you also think that all these new systems each patch are good or were you being sarcastic?

  8. I think the reason why people are complaining about Ashes's slow development progress is because their not used to companies taking their time to make a quality product, intead their used to companies making literal shit and them willing eating it up and then getting mad that it's shit even though their the ones enabling that shit to made.

I am very Thankful for all the wonderful videos Narc.
You keep the spark of Ashes burning when all flames have died out.
But more importantly you motivate me to be more engaging with the world.

  10. i'm all for positivity but AoC will have a lot of the same problems launching as any other game in recent memory. and sticking to your vision is nice but just look at EFT and how this can end in players leaving the game because development takes ages and never seems to end and the vision turns into something the players not want or it simply turns out that those visions make the game worse, simply don't work or are not fun (in the case of EFT all of it).

  11. 1: unlike Star Citizen, Ashes is not expanding the scope of the game. It doesn't matter if they develop slow (although we would prefer faster), the game will eventually reach a "completed" state.

    2. It's definitely ok to discuss ideas with the community, but the only real involvement the community should give directly to Ashes is on their official discussion threads/ topics and feedback on the actual gameplay stuff we get our hands on.

  12. While I'm not a fan of catering to Casual Players. FFXIV proved it can be a successful strategy. I think it's important to find a good balance. Reward hardcore players for putting the extra time into the game. While still allowing Casuals to feel appreciated. Like it or not they help by adding $$$ to the game. $$$ Which will ideally be used for development of additional content.

  13. I think it unlikely and a potential disaster, if Intrepid listen to fans. Very often in a game you are constrained by design decisions made very early in the development process. Trying to wedge in features/requirements that are outside the original conceived scope of the project, like a LFG system, or an e-sports add on, may create conflicts in playability that cannot be overcome, without a net loss in player satisfaction.

  14. Didn't they already abandon "not floaty combat" and "some skills will be tab target only"? Shifting away from tab targeting with the latest development is already concerning giving it's been 5(?) years of dev time already.

  15. We want everybody in our community. Even overly doubful apocalyptic people. We also need you! They are so scared of little bad coverage. I get it, but they can't control the message on the internet. Even with a content creator program. I think you are genuine tho.
