Obviously I enjoyed the Alpha all things considered, I played 4 characters because it was lots of fun and I look forward to how they build upon this early iteration of Ashes of Creation.

  1. I really hope they can fix the class balance cause if you are able to solo everything the game won't last enough even raid boss felt easier than I thought.

ESO is a solo game and I don't want to think that AoC will be the same.

It's still an alpha of course so is the perfect time to address those details before is to late.

  2. Great video! Waiting on the first public beta before I jump in but I’m surprised how well done the alpha is. Sure there’s some rough spots but that was guaranteed. Will be ready for the next update video Haku!

  3. Grinding (no matter if mobs, dungeons or bosses) with a reward for difficulty over "go there, it's your level, you won't get exp from higher lvl mobs". There is something very satisfying about getting a huge chunk of a reward from killing something that can just make you his b** if he gets you 😉

  4. seen all those streamer moments happen live! Must absorb all the info i can, even though we won't get much to absorb until A2.
I think the traveling part won't stand out as much once leveling speed is reduced and classes get more balanced. Likely main story would get segmented a bit because of that – players would complete a part of the story, then grind for a bit or complete some side quests in the area, and then maybe continue main story arc next session.

  5. Great feedback!

I agree the traveling was too much. I changed my playstyle from going from quest to the next quest to exploring and randomly encountering the next quest instead. Ended up enjoying my time a lot more and it felt good not having to rush. I hope all the traveling was to encourage as many people to explore the whole map for bugs rather than it being the design they finally go for ^^
I'm also shrugging off the balance at the moment just cos 5(?) Of the other archetypes were not present and no augments so still a long way for that anyway~
There was a lot more in alpha 1 than what I was expecting so I'm looking forward to seeing where things go!

    Outro was amazing! ♥️

  6. a good way to fix it is make the travel distance a somewhat shorter and have like stuff like the archage where there is npcs going between areas and u can ride on them albeit make em faster
