  1. I probably still wouldn't play it. I'm in a game for the story and the role-playing aspect of it. Last thing I want is to get ganked by somebody while I'm out questing or gathering resources. I don't want to spend my time always looking over my shoulder to make sure I don't get killed. I play games to relax and enjoy the story, but this seems like an anxiety attack waiting to happen.

  2. The corruption system is implemented in such a way that it is highly adjustable. From damaging and losing gear, deminishing skills, and the possibility of a currupted soul going fourth. So it may be unbalanced at launch, but I feel they will tweak it going forward.

    And addressing the freeholds, I feel many of the guilds will have more than one. So I invision there will be opportunities to craft and gather at the guildhall and the surrounding areas.

    Also you can make friends or guildies to gather as a team or group to provide a little more protection.
