  2. 8:26 please look into games that have done this in the past… crowfall was the most recent MMO to have a structure like this.

    when the developer doesnt "guide" players to content…. they will not create content themselves. it is a pipe dream.

I played Eve Online for years! and was involved in some of the most largest battles ever. its a fun game but has super long periods of boring time, followed by a few moments of crapping your pants action as someone attacks you. I really hope Ashes has some way to prevent the mega guilds from locking down the server. THis happen in shadowbane (a very short lived MMO) and it killed the game within a month.

  4. As much as I love the games that developers make, player created content always seems to outperform. I remeber all the Forge content I played on Halo 3, the crazy Mario Maker levels made by players, the giant Minecraft worlds made in a collaborative effort, and the mods for almost every game that allows mods. Players MAKE excellent content. But the best use a system that is provided to them by the developers. It'd be cool if there was like a Questcrafting artisan profession where popular player created questlines could be voted in to become cannon or something. I'm sure some really creative quests could come out of a community made endeavor.

    This comes from a hardcore WOW player that laughed at at those people who claimed every mmo out there is a ''Wow Killer''.
