Ashes of Creation is finally in alpha 2. the game still has a long way to go but you guys know how much I love MMORPGs and this one is meatn to have that old school, Classic MMO feel that people have been looking for. It’s been in development FOR A LONG time, but it’s cool they are putting it out in alpha so we can see it

  1. being lost in a mmo is the best feeling thats what its meant to feel like a sense of adventure and curiosity something wow has lost over the 20 year life time i love wow but the direction blizz is going is ass. very excited about this game. all of the people saying the game sucks without even trying it are just people who are sad and mad about their own lifes so they have to spread their pain to others

  2. I think its already setting a bad precedent that in order to even get in to Alpha testing to help the Devs with feedback, they are charging at the minimum $100 USD. So they want/NEED our feedback and help with testing things like server compacities/limits, game bugs, feel of the movement/combat, etc…. but they want US to pay THEM for our feedback that's going to ultimately help shape and sculpt the game that will make them money upon full release… I get that they may need help funding the project, but if people believe what you are building, people will donate if given the option to do so. But I think its bad business to ask for our feedback to help them with their game but they lock the ability to provide feedback behind a paywall.

  3. honestly its REALLY cool to see an mmo thats kind of doing its own thing, feel like its its own game, alot of games that come out now adays have menus, ui, or different things in the game that was obviously taken DIRECTLY from another game, everything in this game feels like they made it completely from scratch, and i LOVE that. the way the players build up the different towns and become citizens of the town the want to be in is just so cool to me, it kinda gives me mortal online 2 feels a little bit, but in a good way lol, theres no fast travel, so sometimes youll have to travel 20 minutes or more to get somewhere just to travel 20 minutes back, but im kinda liking that in a way tbh the fast travel in games these days kinda takes away from the exploration aspect of mmos, makes it way more immersive, ive already found a couple bears that i can train to turn into a mount or a "beast of burden" that can carry things i guess, super neat! Im not sure how people complain about how long its taking… i would think thats a good thing because they want to make it a good experience for the players and dont want to cut corners to get it out as fast as possible like the majority of other games that come out these days. people complain when they cut corners, but then they also complain when it takes too long, its a lose lose situation, literally cant win with these people.
