You just said all the reasons why I don't trust wow or nw or others "mmos" and I highly believe people are not aware of how bad is that content creators or people overall buy those games just cause is ok.. and are not happy with "mmos" and wont be if they keep buying it just to make more videos/streams… sadly ( Good to finally see ya 😀 )

  25. Brace yourself (i don't do TLDR's)

    First of all, it is still a mystery to me how your channel "only" has 10k subs. Been watching you for about a year now and i very much like your content. I think once the game comes out, or at least alpha 2, you will get a lot more subscribers. Ashes is in a weird spot right now where the project is concrete enough that it generates hype , but still too far to generate real interest. Also, for the next few months, aside from the monthly dev discussion, there are not enough info available to generate enough content for channels like yours to live off of ashes. Alpha 2, which unless i'm mistaken is supposed to be ongoing thing, should help in that regard but it is still far away at the moment.

    Monetization idea: Take this with a cubic meter of salt, but here's an idea i've been wanting to share with you for a while. You should have more than the cope-a-cola as i think the cola idea should be used as a sort of category for the vids. As an example, if you have something really nice to share, as you do, cope-a-cola it is. You wanna share something nice but that could be problematic, then people should grab a cautious-a-cola or whatever. Basically, different cola's for different type of new/content. Just wanted to share so feel free to completely ignore this haha.

    Asmongold: Not a fan of his all the time but he argues his positions well enough that wether or not i agree with him, at least i can respect him for defending and arguing his opinions well. In that regard, he's in the same ballpark as Joe Rogan. I might not always agree with him but joe's opinions aren't based on just hearsay or whatever. he does his research and forms an educated opinion. it's one of the reasons i like your content.

    All this to say, keep it up. As far as i'm concerned, once ashes releases, there is not a doubt in my mind you will be amongst the greats in this community of streamers/content creators. Brace yourself as i think you've currently hit a plateau not because of the quality of your work/content but more because ashes doesn't have enough new info coming out. as i said, once alpha 2 comes out, you're gucci.

  28. Bro, I urgently bought a new PC just to be able to play Ashes. I have a trash laptop a 1050ti in it and the cpu overheats to 95C.
    When the prices dropped a bit, I decided that I will buy a low budget desktop pc.
    It was 3500 RON, that is around 700 Euros. I7 6700k,gtx 1080 (a hp Anakin) and 16g ram with RGB.
    It's old, it's a waste of money but if gpu prices will not be fixed until ashes comes out then it's worth every drop of money.

  33. Showing your face on videos does seem to have a positive effect on viewers for YouTube.
    I can understand your hate for retail work, it's a nightmare a lot of the time, even worse around Christmas. I've had to deal with it for many years and food service work is frequently even worse. You have to deal with so many God awful toxic people for such a small amount of money.

  43. I don't like high production, I prefer the scuffed feel of your videos. They feel genuine and relatable, I also like the quality of your old green screen style. It's unpolished and feels a lot more free.

  44. Steven to me just seems like a guy who along with his team is just some people who want to make a game they want to play.

    Like they have this idea in their head of what the best MMO should be, and they want to play it. And since it doesn't exist yet, they decided to make it.
