In the context of the PvE/PvP discussion that has been going on. The reason it is seen as negative by a lot of people is because it is clear what the game is going to be. Much of the discussion has become either separate the two or try to find or add ways to completely circumvent a whole pillar of what AoC is built upon. It is negative because both of these "solutions" are essentially non-starters.
