  1. The foundations of the game are 90% good enough for me. I hope that you allow players to send suggestions outside of the forums and directly to you, so that you can use AI to parse through all of them and compile the most common ones and then discuss internally (and I'm not talking about carebears complaining about PvP; I'm talking about suggestions to improve the movement, dodge/stamina/sprint, auto-attack, quests, mobs/materials spawns and timers, itemization, etc.). Keep it up devs and team.

  2. This is probably, most definitely, a personal thing, but I really hope to see an update where there's some attention given to the music and ambience audio and how you guys bring that, and with it the world around you in game, to life.

Zone music (and combat music as well for that matter) can really make or break the aesthetic feel that I get from my surroundings. Vanilla WoW for example has, in my experience, still one of the best zone music I've ever heard and that really contributed to the unique feel I got from the game.

With sounddesign being what it is today I'm also very curious to hear what you guys can bring to the table when it comes to the natural ambience sounds in different areas, biomes, settlements and cities 😀 much love from the Netherlands! ♥

  3. This game reminds me of Star Citizen (in a good way). A small group of people trying to build something the big developers have failed to build for decades. What people should realise by now is it takes less time to make the terrible games we have been subjected to for decades (there is a reason WoW hasnt been toppled from its throne yet) than it does to make the game we ACTUALLY want to play. If we don't allow dev studios like Intrepid and CIG to rise up (which takes time) and break the cycle, we will have bad games forever. Capitalism is not our freind, we NEED people to want to do this and we should support them as much as we can. Looking forward to playing AoC someday.

The big payoff for us is that these guys redefine the standard and in future other developers with massive budgets will have no choice but to up their games. We all win if Intrepid and CIG win.

  4. About the graphics I think they people mean is the it looks a little bit like guild wars 2 in unreal engine 5. I remember the stream when Steven introduced UE5 for ashes and it looked great there. Somehow in the alpha too the bloom maybe too much or something is missing.

  5. @Steven YES your remarks at 28Mins about the visuals I COMPLETELY AGREE with I talk your guys game up about that all the time.
But If I could ask the Development team a Question: Have any of them played a game called IdleON from steam? IF so will their be Mechanics that bring even the most seasoned player back to the beginning areas of the game like they do in IdleON and IF so how do you keep that from being too Overwhelming later on when you've released more and more expansions of the game?

  6. I've been playing alpha 2, does everyone feel comfortable with the amount of crafting stations that are currently in the game? For example there is a station just for crafting a fishing rod. It feels a bit redundant, but I would like to hear some opinions on this.
Speaking of crafting, every little thing requires fuel which also feels bad, I think there should be some exceptions to this. Like crafting a herb into a powder should not require fuel. Nor should it cost money, Money and fuel should be used for maybe crafting end items. speaking of end items, it seems there are quite a few required items for crafting anything with no way to know where to find these. This is just my initial feedback on it. It's A2 so everything is subject to change.

  7. Hey guys,
Been playing since Friday, I've enjoyed traversing the map, I have a list of items, it would be amazing if you could include a bug report button in game that generates a ticket for a new issue or something, it would mean that the bugs are collated rather than the forums.

On another note, a few mates advised that the website has low res images and video, it would be sick if you had a solid site up to show case not only the potential the handwork the team is doing inside.

  8. Good thing is the camera (shaking) effect impacted by sorceries, you could add more, maybe like frost, fire, lightning, etc. on the sides of the viewport. Another good thing is the “bassy”, low freq sound effects on weapon impact, gives a feeling that the attacks have weight. Like in Lineage 2 with the use of soulshots and spiritshots, never felt that way in any other game, really liked that.

  9. Hello, saw my friend play your game. Honestly… your art direction has no identity whatsoever. Looking at the new Dragon Age, then your game, honestly, I had a hard time telling you two apart.

The realistic aesthetics you're going for, with few more years of working on the game, your visuals are outdated again. Why not try a more stylized visual? Why not work with artist like Paul Richard? He worked at Blizzard, or take inspiration from Wildstar? Wildstar visual still works in this day and age. Not saying you have to be super goofy, but at least that direction will stand test of time.

I can understand my opinion won't mean much as I think you're probably too deep in this art direction at this point. But I feel like your art just doesn't stand out to me.

  10. The game looks great. Been following the game almost since the start and it's came a really long way. Really wish I could afford to get into the alpha, but I'm broke, sadly. Can't wait to see what's done next!

  11. Love how Steven spaces out to mock the other player who wants his loot back, and Steven misses the question being asked xD
Much Love to Steven and the team, this is going to be huge!

  12. The game looks great, but sadly a large player base will not play or at least not play for long and the game is doomed to FAIL.

ANY game where PvP is the focus results in mouth breathing no lifers dominating everything and the casuals with jobs will quit.

Need PvP as optional and/or more pve options or the game will be doomed

  13. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not make the new world mistake at launch with server sizes. Please make sure players can load in without waiting. Whatever number you’re planning, quadruple it.
