There should be no Legos at lvl 25. I can't wait for the full implementation of this system. We've been told for years mastering your craft will be an incredible amount of effort. Even having the skill to find these resources would take incredible effort. That's just not the case right now. Lvl 1 gathers are finding legendary materials. It's waaaay to common and low effort to find the materials needed. It's just a time thing, just a matter of time until RNG falls in your favor. Then crafters discover if you enchant and boost your crafting gear you don't even need higher end materials. Now we have people soloing world bosses. 2 tapping lvl 25s. Not the vision I had for ashes at least. But gamers gonna game. They will min/max everything. This is what alpha is for and I cannot wait for those balance passes 🤣
This shouldn’t be happening. Gear and weapon scaling needs to be significantly reduced and made much rarer. If not, every zerg will be unkillable, and the game could be doomed before it even launches. The gameplay balance should prioritize 70% player skill and 30% player gear. It's so broken, it's just stupid.
People need to calm down. This is just the performance and stability testing phase.
Yes they want you to craft and gather, but the real Crafting doesn't start until phase 2 and 3.
Amusing to see both ends of the argument. One side claims PvP should be entirely skill based and that gear should not have much of an impact. The other side claims they should be rightfully rewarded for putting their time into gathering and crafting instead of smashing heads against other players all day long.
Fortunately, devs have already said they are aware of gear dmg scaling completely out of control and will be fixed in P2. The shirts/pants for +Quality crafting are 100% broken. Legendary gear should take legendary materials, not rares (I know, i've been using them). At best, a dedicated crafter with legendary shirt/pants should only be able to dip into epic mats and get legendaries. That would be much more in line. Hopefully big crafting changes & epic/legendary mats drop nerfs coming as well. Still, I love the artisan system and can't wait to go deeper as talent trees come out and tuning takes place!

The reason these guilds are dominating at the moment is not because crafting is busted, it's because legendary spawns stay legendary. So people make characters and park them at the legendary spawns and farm up all the mats. It's not evenly distributed through the randomized system like it's supposed to be. It's a bug that according to rumor existed in Alpha 1 as well. It's just been exploited now.

Our guild (Noctunal) on Lyneth made that same bow before Dynasty and I can tell you on my Bard it’s so OP it’s not funny. I was just dumb enough to not use the crafting buffs/clothes with lower mats, mine was made with blood and sweat from guildmates legit random gathering, almost entirely out of legendary mats;10 out of 20 willow planks were epic.
If everyone has this gear, everyone gets one shot. That doesn't sound fun.
