Its stating to seem like alot if things wont have a place in this game its fucken wild how this game should have been out by now and how much it has drastically changed
Good, competitive PvE is stupid. Being the first to kill a world boss or achieve something in an MMO should be something to do with the server you're in, not a pure PvE instance race. If a guild gets a first raid boss kill on a "dead" server it won't have the same feeling as doing it on a highly contested server. It's a PvX game, if you want to compete in pve then try games made for that

I think if you're runnin a PVE guild in ashes you're doing it wrong 😉
Competitive raiding is anyways a rubbish concept. It's pve content.
21 years of MMO playing, and I have never raided. I mean it looks fun and all, but I prefer more relaxed guilds, even in PvP games. So I won't miss competitive raiding. But I probably will be one of the a$$hats slowing down other guilds.
Everyone's always gonna have something to complain about its just the way it is,play the game how you like it will be more enjoyable than playing how someone is telling you to play
I expect that guilds ambushing other guilds while they do Boss mobs or raids to be the normal state of affairs. Large, widely known game events/spawns will 100% PvP during peak times. PvE guilds from other games that expect to operate in the same way as they do in any other game are in for a rude surprise. My advice to them is to not buy the game and just complain in Asmongold's Twich chat.
Yep, this is a video I've wanted to make several times over the past few years. I have an idea for how they can bring competitive raiding into the game, and not have it impact the gear progression of the world (best gear in a PvX game shouldn't come from purely PvE content), but I don't want them to even think about stuff like that right now. Let's get the game as it was promised into A2 and then launch. THEN, we can consider how to add other elements. Good vid bro, I really enjoyed this one.
Yeah the raiding scene is one of my biggest concerns. Hopefully it's still fun enough to attract my raiding friends even if its very different. My hope is that part of the 20% instanced content will be a raid at the end of a big dungeon. So you still have to fight through the dungeon open world but the big boss at the end is instanced. That way you can still have those advanced instanced mechanics in an arena and it doesn't have to be "dumbed down" because of the added open world PvP threat.
