The open world dungeon and raiding aspect is something I’m VERY excited for in Ashes of Creation.

This is something that could be very detrimental if not done correctly in Ashes of Creation for the simple fact that we can all attack each other while the raid/dungeon is happening. If there are incentives for working together during those times, that could be beneficial but is that something that would be implemented. Will it be a blood fest? We’re going to see the UI development update livestream next week, so we probably won’t get any info on this, but it’d be nice to see it in the future.

  1. Q…..you sweet summer child. The answer to the question "will there be people there to kill anyone who gets near a world boss on every server, every time, no matter what?" Is 100% yes, and more than likely it will be 2-5 different groups battling it out to be the ones to get to kill the boss, and if you happen to innocently stroll in the area, you will be unalived on the spot. That skit was perfect, that's exactly how it will be.

  2. I hope they add incentive to work together to kill a shared dungeon/raid boss instead of killing one another to be the ultimate sole standing winner like a battle royal game. Otherwise it will be a perpetual kiilfest of one group absolutely dominating and then another group domintating that group and then another group comes in to dominate…

  3. I'm excited for open world raids and instanced. And so much more. Late Alpha 2 and the Betas will really give Intrepid the insight to see what people want and tweak the game to embrace that more while keeping balance and fun in mind. I think corruption needs to have a steep penalty curve to be effective. First PK kinda sucks, but after the 5th, your game is practically unplayable without cleansing your corruption. Great content as always.
