With the October 2023 Developer Update dropping, we got a whole bunch of positive news related to one of Ashes of Creations main Gameplay Loops: The Caravan System.

I bought an alpha 2 key august 2022, and this finally makes me not totally regret it, i was so stoked at first but slowly over the months i kept thinking "i could have bought a cute new pair of docs instead" hahaha
Goe i hate caravans. Its always a pvp gank fest. So boring.
Not sure I understand the developers' fascination with this kind of eastern UI. Just reminds me of every single failed MMO that used this type of UI.. Looks like an updated lineage 2. Rectangular and bleak. Whilst I know this isn't an indicator of how good a game is but it just makes it look like all the other games that looked just like this and disappeared in 3 months.

I absolutely love being a merchant in games, so I will probably be into caravans big time. Travelling from city to city, node to node, trying to buy goods for cheap and sell high, that sounds fantastic.
Finnaly took off the mask i see.
The game details look great, but its only brought down by the basic UI, for such a detailed world the Interface and inventory item images look so anime style/click quest for auto run or those click mouse to move games…even WoW has/had a better interface and item image representation. Hopefully the interface is a work in progress just not priority atm.

Yo @Narc I really do love your content and breakdowns of AoC highlights and streams. If you ever get the chance, would you mind asking Sharif and or his team whether or not he/they used to play "Silkroad Online"? The caravan system reminds me soooo much of it. Man did I love that MMORPG back in the day (before the bots took over..)
