Bellular's Thoughts on WoW, Ashes of Creation & Being a Fanboy

Read more about Ashes of Creation ➜ https://ashesofcreation.mgn.tv

Ashes of Creation is a very VERY hyped up game at the moment, some even going as far as calling it the “WoW killer”. They have a very expensive (but goodie filled) pre-order bundle for $400. Is it worth it? Bellular and Matt discuss being a fan and when you should give your hard-earned money away.

  1. I think it's worth discussing that WoW and Blizzard doing it much more digusting… This is why I stopped playing. It's really became a time sinker and I felt that the gametime+expansion+micro-transactions no longer worth my money/game time.

  2. my boy just got total war warhammer 2 and the man literally had to uninstall it because it prevented him from doing anything remotely productive. He loved the game so much he had to let it go

  4. They are probably copying Star Trek Online. Every expansion they have massive ship packages, this looks that way. Usually there are reviews/ previews for the product. Avoid prepurchase like the plague. I avoid spending cash on pixels as much as possible.

  5. It will be a shit game… it just looks like shit idk why and I can’t argue why… but every time I see gameplay it just looks bad. Looks clunky and just not fluid.. not to mention the person behind this game is bit odd and the entire story on how they backed this game
And the funds is really sketch. Idk I think it will be just bad.

  6. Personally I cannot wait for Ashes. It looks like its going to fill what I've been missing in MMO's since I moved from Ultima Online to WoW when WoW started. Plus its being made by people who love, play and have created MMO's and not some money grabbing corporation. But even then I will wait till its ready to release before I purchase it.

  8. Last time I ever preordered was when physical copies were still a thing. I never saw the point for digital.

As for AoC, I am really concerned about it, not so much from gameplay or such, but rather the hype train that has been created. Pretty soon it's going to reach a point no matter how good the game it, it will fair to deliver.

  9. If Steven and the crew at Intrepid can deliver on at least half of the features and content they've talked about while simultaneously delivering on great responsive and a fluent combat system the game will be a huge win for the MMO space as a hole.

  10. Idk I like these kind of videos more. There are 3 topics covered and talked about and it has a good length. 10-15min depending on the topic/topics is nice. 2-3 topics cut together if they are not that long is good in my opinion.

  11. I did preorder Cyberpunk 2077 on PC, the day the preorders launched, and the only other game, I've ever done that with was Witcher 3, but I did so to support GOG.
I didn't give a damn if the games were bad, And as a PC gamer with an high end PC, I've not had any major issues, with Cyberpunk, but I don't really like that setting, fantasy is more my style.
GOG don't force Galaxy on me, and as a single player gamer, I value the downloadable offline installers (essentially downloadable disc contents), even more than GOG being DRM free.
I never get hyped by marketing, or believe anything that's claimed before release. If you preorder a game, you have no right to complain if it turns out it's crap after release.

  12. I love it when people think this new game will kill WoW. WoW is such a phenomenon even the stupidity of Blizzard Entertainment can't torpedo it. Anyway, see you in 3-4 months when everyone realises AoC is just meh…

  14. Ashes doesn't have any pre order packs. The packs are for simps to support/become a tester of the game, just wait for it to be released and pay the monthly sub and its yours.

AoC is gonna be a huge game there is no fking way its not gonna be buggy mess UNLESS they take there sweet time and to be honest i would not mind the wait at all to get a grate game i want to consume for hours on end. Hope they understand that they dont want to be the next fallout 76 or cyperpunk.

  19. Ashes of Creation is really my only hope for a new good MMO. I'm tired of Blizzard, I keep giving them chance and they keep just doing shitty things to their playerbase. Hell we're sitting in our 9 month content drought right at the start of the expansion. So far I've put about $900 in to Ashes of Creation. If the game is even half as good as they're building it to be, it's well worth the money to me. This is really my last step before I start looking into buying the Dark Age of Camelot IP and funding my own studio to make the sequel.

  20. … I for one don't agree that a cosmetic has no value because you didn't earn it ingame. It still has aesthetic value, while not as valuable its still has value. But games have to have integrity, like if Tetris left 4 rows unfilled at the start and you could pay 5 bucks to reduce a row – the game would have no integrity and the playing field would be skewed by factors outside of the players control thats not universal within the game. Thats not ok
