  1. one of us one of us! any time you guys talk about 14 in a clip i share it among my 14 discord communities.

best story telling of an MMO hands down, and after clearing the ulitmates in 14 and the mythic sire denathrius on wow. I have to say(imo) 14 raids > wow raids.
wow had 1 raid zone with 10 bosses between November to July, 9 months? ff14 in that same amount of time, put out 8 savage bosses (14 if you count the 6 from DR savage), 1 ultimate, 8 alliance raid bosses, 4 extreme raid bosses and all of these bosses are unique, no same boss different difficulty). also just to throw it out there, the alliance raid is like wow's LFR in terms of difficulty, extremes are around normal to early heroic bosses. savage is heroic/ early mythic, and the closest i can think of for ultimate would be sire denathrius mythic, but add an extra 8 minutes on top of limit's WF clear. (the 1st ultimate has an avg clear time of 18 minutes from pull to clear.)

  2. If you think the beginning of shadowbringers has momentum, wait till you reach the end of 5.0…. Goddamn, that moment <3 But yes, if you're into story, FF14 is the place to be
BIG WARNING HOWEVER: The lore is deep. You really need to dive into the lore of ARR, Heavensward (for a bit), and Stormblood to even have a clue of the impact the story has. Take your time with the MSQ, do some blue sidequests (especially the crystal tower chain in ARR) before stepping into Shadowbringers!

  3. Playing through all of FF14 in between BFA and Shadowlands made me genuinely not care about the story in WoW anymore. It is absolutely incredible and I would go as far as saying it's one of the best stories I have ever experienced in the whole of gaming.

  4. Michael, it's free to play until 60 and you don't have to feel obligated to buy anything yet. You won't regret it. I'm a WoW refugee and started into Shadowbringers. There's so much to do but not everyone in the game is a try hard or toxic as a community. Good luck!

  5. I was worried they'd leave while slogging through a realm reborn… but if they're at Shadowbringers… then welcome to the dark side!

While alas I do think WoW has an edge in its combat, and that transfers somewhat to raiding/PvP. Everything else WoW gets annhilated at. Up to and including the devs actually giving a dam.

  6. i would love to see Bell talking and discussing about FF , but i also know the FF community for over 6 years . They are super protective about the game , they alrdy made content creator quit by sending death threads cuz he had some legit critics about FFs raid structure.Talking critical about FF is kinda a problem with this kind of community. And people/contentcreator like scottzone , meonie , know about this all too well

  7. fresh eyes on FFXIV give it the critique it deserves. ARR is the weakest lets get that out of the way, if you ever feel like some sidequest drag on in the following expansions its always worth noting that its world building and setup however MINOR it may seem. I catch myself going "man, they just made me come all the way out here to talk to an NPC?" once the quest finishes you know its but a small part to the greater section overall but crucial for build up in the following cutscene.

  8. 'If shadowbringers keeps going like this'

It's not the start of Shadowbringers people rave about. Well, that one part we all know about–:O–but Shadowbringers really does nail it, and it builds to something that…

It's art. I can't really say it any other way. It's art.

  9. Bells is going to fall so hard for the craftsman classes / Disciples of the Hand in FFXIV. And then go on a ramble on how hard Blizzard dropped that ball in WoW.
