I like them! and they remind me a bit of the trolls from WOW (this occurred to me as soon as they were reveled on the stream) 🙂 but way cooler of course…a nice variation of Orc!

I was expecting a more goblin like race but damn I love their style
I don’t like the tusks but other than that I like them. I definitely like that they’re not very orcish
Honestly this looks really original, which is pretty amazing considering all the gaming tropes that are out there. I'm sure there's going to be plenty of options, including teeth, so I'm sure people will like this overall when the game releases.
I definitely see similarities to WoW Trolls, specifically Zandalari Trolls, however, past the appearance they seem to be a unique combination of culture, aesthetic, and values. I am getting more Mayan-culture vibes with the piercing, tattoos and hairstyle, especially since they are described as "celestial" as well. Intrepid seem to be doing a good job at the balancing act between classic fantasy themes while also making something different. I can't wait to hear more about them!

Man I was all in on Ren Kai. But I dunno now… Lol this looks dope. I wanted to make a skinny orc assassin but they look like Arnald on the Olympia stage lol. Think I found my assassin! I love the pale skin night gazing vibe. +++Crit power at night passive??🤔🤔

I love them. Vek is the race that has most intriugued me, even though I sit back quite a bit from Ashes developement. I just love the look.
I'll raise your WoW Troll and suggest WoW goblin. Smaller and smarter.
I will also go back many years and say they remind me of an EQ/EQ2 goblin.
Absolutely hit the mark for me! It said they were going to take from Mesoamerica culture for the Vek and they delivered! The hair, tattoos, piercing and it looks like they evolved from being these bulky warriors to probably the swift and agile woodland fighters of those Mayans and Aztec warriors.
I am definitely 100% team Vek and can't wait to see if they will be a part of Alpha 2. So excited!
