Expectations tempering comment 😉 It's a tall order, I hope they pull it off. The uniqueness aspect is going be interesting how they will achieve it, how much is RNG during the training? I think these sort of systems will be in beta, not alpha 2. But I'm still thinking A2 will be September but I'm a hopium junkie
I mean, it's 5 years now and they're just now doing race development….I think it's been done a while now and they are just now showing us. IF not, wth have you been doing for 5 years? That should be your first thing you nail down is your core playable races and get them done. I hope I'm not wrong IF indeed that is the case…I don't see this game launching for another 4 years.
This is not a naysayer post just trying to look between the lines. Especially since they keep stuff so close to the chest.
Q1 2023 for Alpha 2 and 2024 for release is my prediction. They have 8+ biomes to conceptualize, are still touching on race designs, are still conceptualizing character creators and combat and even node designs. It’s a ways off without a doubt.
Apparently the animal husbandry system is being split into each of the other artisan systems i.e gathering, crafting, and the other one I forget.
Hopefully they can map out the practicalities of designing such systems to meet a middle ground. I guess overall it is better and it takes longer and I’ll happily play alpha2
