  1. With the information we have so far, I think I'll live in a scientific node and I agree that those will likely be the most stable mayoral-wise. Economic could end up with long running mayors as well, because I expect groups of players will pool their money into a single candidate. Although, depending on the cost, it could be too expensive for an individual or group to win the bid consecutive months. For Divine nodes, I do think the time commitment it will likely take to have the most quests/religious contribution would mean the mayor will at least be online enough to keep up with their mayoral duties. Military nodes… probably going to avoid.

Then node sieges come along and add an element of chaos to everything. Maybe military nodes are the best at defending against sieges due to a larger concentration of PvP players.

No aspirations for mayor, but you have my vote!

  2. I plan on being the mayor of my religious node. It takes more than a little organization to do quests and to do more than anyone else and make sure you stay ahead of the game. It takes a social network and the ability to juggle many tasks at once.

  3. Enjoyed it! No mayoral aspirations for me personally. I'll be doing good to have enough time to play and progress to begin with, much less dealing with all that.

  4. The Question: What node is best for a hardcore bounty hunter?
The Why For Me: After my gearing is at competitive completion, my main goal when I log in is to actively assassinate/kill for fun and profit. Usually, this has me as a red type/pk player in titles, but in this game, the bounty hunter system seems to check all of my boxes. I believe me stalking and assassinating other corrupted/red players allows me to loot real items from them and not just inventory trash. The greatest part of that playstyle is all the friends and enemies you make from the PvP. You can get a name for yourself to get involved in the politics of the server/shard (on a long enough timeline) after you efficiently kill the high ego no lifers over and over.

  5. Military node will represent "barbarian village" really well. The strongest decide usually with the help of some shadow/elder council to soften his ideas/ ambitions and prevent total collapse. Honestly I look forward to it because this type of node will be the more focus on war / pvp. 🙂

  7. Being good at PvP has nothing to do with being a good mayor. This can be said for each node type, being rich, a good quester, or being popular doesn't equate to being a good mayor either. I do agree that a combat based node is not for me, and probably not even an economic node either, which leaves me with two choices. As they release more details on the actual benefits my choices can change.

  8. I like the battle royale idea but you got me thinking. Maybe the highest rated arena player of a military node should become mayor. This may make it more consistent. Also a top rated player would be some one who would be online a lot more and would also be respected in the pvp community which would fit together perfectly

  9. I am realy interested in the divine node details. Seems like that could by something I would like to pursue. More story, more diversity. But on the other hand, I wanna grind and these two goals seem mutualy exclusive. We will see once more info gets released. I have no majoral aspirations, but it would be nice to be in like a major's inner circle.

  10. I have a question for the next Q&A, but first, I'll answer the question you set yourself, I personally watched the leader video because I'm getting such a positive vibe when you talk about stuff you enjoyed in the past in such a pure way, much love.
Q&A : I have embraced the hype with AOC but I'm quite inexperienced when it comes to MMOs because I quit them quite fast. So when it comes to MMOs and in particular AOC what would you say is the thing that gets you hooked to reach the endgame, because you inspired me to experience it with your last video. Also, side question. Is the Bard cool in AOC? Always been my favorite class from D&D and definately will be my go to.

  11. No mayoral aspirations but I will follow node progression and provide input, not just exist there. Leaning towards Scientific or Divine nodes. If Divine nodes synergize with relegion I will be stoked.

  12. I was speculating on going either to an sience node or economic node, but I guess the main thing that will determine my final decision will be what augments and stuff like that benefits my playstyle…. But maybe they will do an workarround on nodes, like people you can "hire" to do your work.

  13. Great warriors dont always make great leaders – game of thrones. Robert baratheon was a great example. Lol Terrible idea to make best dueler the leader of a node.

  14. I feel like secondary governments are gonna form for stability. Like even if you win the economic there's a traders guild council directing tax rates. I dont want to be mayor, I wanna be the guy behind the strings controlling the puppets

  15. BTW… I have a question. Do you know roughly when we get to see a more fleshed out character creator? Because I really want to see how many options we will have. I only know that they are aiming for something on par with BDO, but There are many different things that are important to all kinds of players. Is there any Information out there, or do you have a direct link to steve to aks him about that?
