Come on dude ! 🙁
Seriously, What is that Copyright song at the End ?
For me the max level content was never something substential that made a good MMO for me, it was more the journey to the max level. I didn't care that much about always having the best in slot armor, having cleared all the end game content or having made a name on the server. But I always loved the exploration, the traveling, the lore, the leveling, the little world pvp and making friends along the way. Of course killing big and bad boys and dragons is fun but at some point after so many years of WoW I kinda don't have this excitement and joy over an epic item upgrade anymore, no matter what game will come.
PvP (Yawn) not into it, Give me a good story and lore and nice sense of charcter progression then, I'm good.
You can't make an MMO that caters just to hardcore players that want to sweat their lives away on the game and not shower or sleep. Wildstar tried that and it failed. The reason BDO is an exception is because the player base have the option of paying real money to keep up. It would be next to impossible to maintain a decent sized player base long term without offering the chance to spend cash. There needs to be a balance. Not too easy, not too hard. Have deep game systems that cater to both crowds. This is where New World is falling flat for me because they've got the bones of a good MMO there, but none of the meat.
I've been playing ascension world of warcraft private server and I love what they did. Even adding ironman and other challenges has me replay it multiple times. So much versatility. Constant updates too.
When you log into the game to be part of the community then that is what makes an MMO great. The rest is just implementation details. Whether that community is 10 people or 500, doesn't matter. It's all about the community and connections with others.
I think an issue with the timed Mythic plus system and stuff related to that is it breeds toxicity. Similar to how dps meters do. Or at least it feels that way in WoW
Your quality is the same as any million sub YTer you’ll go far! Love the vids!
i agree. its sad these zoomers just dont feel the same way. they want everything handed to them with no work.
Liking some videos you made. A bit enjoying seeng your vid in my feed. And then when you stupidly stated that pvp isnt the core of an mmo, i disliked you. But then this video came. Im just a shadowy person. Doesn't like being in the spotlight. So, im subscribing you is how I'm saying that you've achieved something. I didn't subscribe to lazy peon. But i do you hehehe. So seeing from my personal universe, you should be proud eh eh eh 😄😌😌. I played lineage 2 btw.
I opened the link in a firefox container so It does not count as being rickrolled lol
That forehead smash got me. Lol. Had to watch it a few times.
I love the leveling adventure. Runescape Classic, EverQuest, Final Fantasy 11, and Vanilla WoW are my favorite MMOs & I never reach max level in either. TBH, there wasn't much end game simply because it took forever to hit max level. I enjoyed the group interdependent combat and looked forward to leveling up so I could visit a new zone, wear anew piece of gear, or get a new ability to help the group or use myself.
im 100% agree with u, the end game and lvl up in New World so shiiti and does'nt have any Story line that can satisfiying you from game and i quit game as soon as possible :D, tnx for u content im rly enjoy from watch ur edit :))
As long as there is something simillar to wow mythic+ i will be happy
Narc: I am the type of player who wants that. Translation. I am spending lots of time and the one having the advantage so I think it is fun
I'd like to see leaderboards per node, per castle region, and per server. Other than the obvious categories, it'd be awesome to see a leaderboard for most corrupted players (like FBI's Most Wanted) at a bounty hunter's office, as well as a leaderboard for who collects the most bounties. Pretty much, bragging rights for anything and everything.
Again i hope steven's experience with lineage 2 will determine him to implement something like lineage's olympiad system, where only 1 character of each class would be a hero for a limited time.
Being a herionot only gave you acess to the most shiny wepons of them all, but came with important mass buffs for your whole alliance.
There was a constant team effort into getting the most heroes, and the team who could muster the most heroes would clearly have an advange in the upcoming sieges and bosss fights
I unironically hate people who play MMO's and demand solo content, they're fundamentally the reason the genre is dead.
cosmetics are the worst thing that happened to an mmo. i remember seeing the enemy gear an know what exactly i was fighting with.
L2 old school does it too! GOAT game.
After the fun, late game is the real deal. Just to reach top bosses is very hard..plus top gear, olimpiad, being precious class that everyone needs etc. AND the most important, not too much star wars pink and blue shinning wepons.
About story MMOs I do agree but recently some other youtuber made me rethink about it. I've become averse to MSQs in MMORPGs because of WoW, the MSQ in WoW destroyed the game to some extent for me, not the Lore of the world, but the narrative around the main characters of the universe.
Main narratives narrow down the world and the content made for the game, everything is about the narrative and everything is for the narrative, also an main characteristic of storylines/narratives is that they are made of conflicts and these conflicts will evetually meet resolutions, and resolutions can't create more conflicts that exists before so eventually the story dies or lives long enough to become dog shit(examples: WoW, Supernatural, The Walking Dead etc)
But I do think stories have and should have a place in MMOs, but not as MAIN Story. MMOs should be made of tiny stories that explains a portion of the world but don't necessarily have a direct effect in the whole world and other stories. Basically, only side storylines would be perfect, the main storyline is the player's experience.
