  1. The more I've rewatched the node showcase from yesterday, the more I've come to really get hyped for it. The systems they showcased weren't just relating to mayors like it initially seemed. It was just from the mayor perspective, but literally every system applies to every player in some way, most of it in MAJOR ways.

    This was just a Stage 3 Village Node, imagine the Stage 6 Metropolis Node. Oh mannn. For me, I can't lie, the Node Livestream was at least an 8.5 to 9 out of 10. It was just a more core systems Node showcase. Really the only major thing that we didn't see from how a node functions was: 1) Caravansary, which they said we will see in a future stream and 2) the node leveling up as a whole from one stage to another, of which they confirmed we will have multiple other node showcases coming up in the future.

    Really love this Voices of Verra podcast you and Else are doing, Nyce. Sorry I haven't been able to catch it live yet, but I really love your discussions so far!

  2. What I liked about this stream is how much it emphasized that AoC will be a community/social game. The whole system seems to be build about good relations to other players/player groups. Basically having good relations makes you grow/be better and toxic behaviour is possible, but will hurt you.
    I think AoC will be an education to alot of gamers and many of them won't like it.
    Even becoming a military node mayor will be a group effort and I'm pretty sure they will design it in a way that even an elite PvP group won't be able to win the election process against a contender that can persuade the casual mass to support them.
