  1. in albion, all crafting can be done solo, but takes tons of hours of gathering. but all the crafting pretty much goes right back into pvping. so, essentially, if you dont really pvp, it leaves you with really no reason to gather. i love crafting and actually played swtor to for a longtime (among some other mmo's) like i always had every crew skill maxed but the only one i continued to do after (lets say after oricon) was biochem becuase stims felt like the only thing worth crafting since crafting armor had little value since they changed everything to adaptive and you can get all the xmog from the cartel market. so to bring back around, albions wall was because 1. im not the biggest fan of pvp (love the seige stuff though because who doesnt?) 2. gathering was almost entirely for the purpose of fueling more pvp. so, with this entirely to long explanation, i guess my real question (that i am just now realizing) is what is pve in AOC? and how much is there to really do? btw thanks for the feed back man! it was great. keep it coming

  2. There is no negative xp gain for losing in PvP events.
You also lose the time, resources, and materials required to declare the siege – and a cooldown on that site.

  3. Another open-world MMO I am keeping my eye on is Corepunk, would be a ground floor type situation for you there as well (basically no content to absorb so far). How do you think using a second account will go as an alt account for crafting/refining ?

  4. I'm looking for a new MMO myself, one thing I would like to mention that I don't mind the beginning/initial grind of an MMO ( for leveling EX: lets just say 500 hours to get to max lvl** Edit bc i normally take time off work to do that stuff .. if the game is good enough) but how many hours per week would I need to invest after ? In order to "maintain" progress? Im also not considering raid day(s) which adds more weekly game time, Ty for your vids brother.

  5. I would totally be down for you to cover other areas/games in the RPG genre, while still maintaining a focus on AoC. Similar to how Bellular has a general gaming news channel, and dedicated WoW channel, and recently a “snippets” channel for short burst info. With all that being said, I totally enjoy what you have been doing so far and don’t think it’s necessary for you to add other games into the mix in order to stay relevant

  6. Cover what you're passionate about. If you find yourself covering stuff you're not really interested in, the channel might start to feel like a "job" than a passion/vocation. As for what I love, RPGs, Strategy, crafting, team stuff. I've been playing Valheim lately, and still play WoW when there are people to play it with. I occasionally go on a Sims 3 binge with all the mods that introduce more complex elements like Gangster and Assassin career paths, Ashes is the MMO I'm most excited about, but I also love strat games like Stellaris, Civ, and any others that I feel like has depth but I can also "roleplay" as that particular civilization/nation/culture.

  7. You just made the weekend so much better with the video 🙂 keep up the awesome work! Also for the future Q&A – What are your thoughts on the working of double identical archetypes? Like warrior/warrior as it seems that the skills rather won't be modified with new specs but taken to a "master" level? Would that be an adventage or a disadventage in your opinion?

  8. Thank you for getting to my question regarding consequences for node sieges. I thought that the current system did not include death penalties for objective-based events (node sieges, guild wars, etc.). Did you experience XP debt during the castle siege event? I did end up looking up how long the cooldown periods are and they do seem reasonable. If anyone is interested the current cooldowns before a survived node can be attacked again is: Village = 20 days ; Town = 30 days ; City = 40 days ; Metropolis = 50 days.

    Thanks again!

  9. I finally remembered to watch that podcast you mentioned the other day.

I thought it was funny that you objected to the term Neckbeard the other day when you were throwing around Carebear. In WoW, Carebear meant anyone who played on a PVE server. And after saying in this video you didn't think there would be a meta, you talked about how the meta might steer your choice of secondary class.

I also disagree that Raids only exist because Themepark games don't allow for the Sandbox Gameplay you like. I have raided but never on the level you talked about in SWTOR. But there are definitely players who Raid because it is the only content they enjoy – there is nothing wrong with that. A lot of players enjoy collecting things like mounts, transmog, even achievements – there is nothing wrong with that either.
