  1. Remember everyone, this is a game in very early development and many systems are placeholder or missing altogether. Anything I mention is subject to change including the combat. Enjoy! 😊

  2. Great review Roar, I feel as if I were there! Glad to hear the bios and mobs peaked your interest! I too find it hard to imagine a world of tab targeting AND action combat, BUT am interested to see what the team does.

  3. I'm right there with you as far as dwarves go. If they're going to re-imagine dwarves, my favorite race (and if you ask any of my friends, I've been chatting about being a dwarven miner in AoC for MONTHS now), then it really saddens me but I'll have to find something else to play. πŸ™

  4. Interesting…You liked tab targeting combat more, other testers liked action more. Interesting in way, that different people will like one or another, seems like you cant make everyone happy….So imo it is good they go hybrid way. Someone will like tab style more, someone action. x) Hope it will turn out good. Good luck Roar. Hope to see more of your vids in the future πŸ™‚

  5. Interesting insight on the ''never saw an dwarf flip''. Maybe they could add the flip stuff only to those characters that add some Dexterity or depending of the armor!!! It's kinda odd to see an heavy mail dwarf doing rhythmic gymnastics, not even an hafling with heavy armor could do that πŸ˜›

  6. Good to hear some real words from the front line! I honestly feel better about holding off until Alpha 2, considering some of the frustrations. What little time I have to play "off-time" games, I don't want to be testing a build with so many obvious issues.

  7. This is hilarious, the game has been in development since 2016 and its in this fake state. Developers showing fake fotage on their streams and the actual alpha 1 is a joke. The only people in this Alpha 1 are the people who pay $500, No1 can trust what they say, bias as hell. You 100% regret πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ This game won't even be close to finished till 2024 and at that point the game will be completley different. Your just in too deep

  8. @Roar the combat looked different because of the lag it didn't show most of the animations. When servers got more stable the animations came back.

  9. I honestly like tab target combat more than action in MMOs, and I'm happy with the way the combat looks so far in Ashes. From the footage I've seen, perhaps spell effects need to be more refined, but that's totally a "it's only alpha" issue. Looking good so far, thanks for the video.
