You wont have to worry about high power guild controlling everything, there are population caps on nodes, so eventuallly they will get filled out and everyone will be gunning for the top people. It will all come down to how the game design works and if they get so far ahead nobody can kill them, or if they are killable and power shifts in a normal way.
