  1. Although I'm bit of a BDO andy myself and I love the combat in it (especially as a hashashin main) I think the combat in it is actually detrimental to it as an MMO, It works very poorly with boss fights/small scale pve encounters.
Also I'm extremely happy with AoC potentially scrapping the locked animation idea, it just doesnt make sense in an MMO.

  2. This change alone makes tab targeting less relevant imo
Imagine having to use your mouse for some reason (selecting a mob with mouse in the midle of a pack of 20)
In that time when you are not facing every mob(because you need to use your mouse to turn), you are going to loose dps, simply because you are auto attacking where you are facing
When as if you are using action cam, you will always face where you are selecting targets, thus not loosing on auto attack dps.
Not to mention how stupid it is to use Q when you are moving around(you can rebind it, but mouse button still feels way more natural)
I dont agree with you being locked in place, but this change would only make sence if the auto attack was automatic, and not bound to a key

  3. 1 more thing they have to do .. Please reduce particle effects .. Most skills just needs good animation and impact to feel good .. For example WoW "Like it as a game or not" have just the right amount of particle effects for skills .. Please TOO MUCH sparkles and shinies have no place in a PvP MMO 🙁 .

  4. Lol what a Joker "BDO have good ocean content" it's the worst. That content feels like it was made by a bunch of interns that just graduated from University and main developers couldn't be arsed to do it themselves. It's like a scenario of your 4-year-old child making a drawing and you need to say it looks good ( even though you know it's terrible) and put it on the fridge, so they feel good about themselves. 5. I am really worried about the development progress of this game. Intrepid have developed this game for 4 years and they seem still not have a clear direction of the combat system.
Back in apoc people don't like the combat so they change it. And now people think apoc combat is better so they change it back. This mean they have done zero progression in combat system for the past 3 years. What if few years later people hate this combat again? Are they going to change it again?

  6. I have a question when i'm in the action mode and tab-targeting a monster but attacking a other monster the focus stays on the one i tabed even if i focus the other one with the redical. Does this change because its very bad that you can only use spells if you tab the right monster in action mode.

It would improve the combat alot in action if the target would switch dynamically to the mob im over with the redical and can use my spells without pressing tab everytime first in action mode.

thats much more needed thn the split body in my opinion

  7. Ashes – Please have a Grim Diablo-esque feeling biome puhlease. Something dark and vile, with twisted roots and dark skies and thick fog, with a focus on horror based monsters.

  8. i think its a great change overall. i was hoping for a mix of both, similar to the combat in gw2. MOST abilities don't' have animation lock, but some of the higher dps abilities do.

  9. I gotta admit I was cringing really hard when I saw him swing that 2H like it's a feather and the character's hips are appearently made of rubber.

There's nothing worse you can do to combat than making the animations un-immersive and not impactful.
I'm definitely not gonna touch any melee weapon if they keep strafing around while swinging a weapon that would throw them off balance immidiately.
I know combat should be fast paced but you can do that and still make it feel realistic.

The way it is now it looks like Skyrim 2H combat which is the worst kind I've ever seen in a game ever. I hope they'll change it later.
