  1. Locking things that directly augment how skills function behind some of these massive walls are going to piss a lot of people off. Especially if it requires you to break with your social circles to accomplish them in these manners. You better be able to trade/sell these augments locked behind node progression, otherwise, this is going to cause a lot of people to just up and quit the game vs quiting their guild/friends where they are established. That system sounds really depressing honestly, especially if you need multiple augments for multiple skills, being able to try builds you have ideas for becomes basically impossible and solidifies "metas" because you cant risk weeks/months of time being wrong. I also think mainly as a pvp oriented player, gating builds behind having to behave like some pokemon augment-collecting-node-hopping whore sounds horrible. I hope they are tradeable, sure they will cost you fortunes, but they are obtainable then with other feats than leaving your home, friends and guild mates behind to secure basic build tools.
