permanent bans for anti-social behavior is great to hear. Deliberate toxic behavior is unneeded on any level, and it's good to see they did not wait for release to start policing toxic behavior.
Wow. You know what i learn from this? Really toxic enviroment in Ashes. People are so bullying. And conclusion i make since people who have money are basically assholes… jeez… Anyway thanks for the updates 🙂
200 accounts that paid $$$ to have fun and got banned.. IN ALPHA TEST??? Where you should even get boosted from the admins to even test the game.. Not to grind 24/7 to test the game for them while also you paid them to test the game for "them". Good job xD

Did they reaaaaally take action? The people in the Carphin and steelbloom exploit videos are still in game running around at lvl 25. The names should be public.
The thing people don't seem to realize is they are tracking everything, just like they said they were…
Alpha/Beta you might "get away with this stuff" for a short time, but eventually you will get bonked.
MEANWHILE, once the game is Live, Expect the Ban Hammer to be Permanent first time every time, and the tracking tools will be in use by Daily Employed Permanent GMs.
I think it could have been harsher, but I'm not in charge. It's nice to see second offenders hit harder. 3 strike system for testing seems ok, not "optimal", but ok.
Usually how thse games go. You get. Specific group of nerds who have no life's. Most likely pc .. that's where all their toxic behavior comes from. The worst are the GMs who actually think they're important haha ..

i agree with banning toxic behavior, make it perma just for the use of one racial slur imo. But exploiting bugs? I mean its an alpha, is it that big of a deal if someone spawns themselves unlimited gold,idk doesnt seem like a big deal. If anything just prioritizes the need for a fix and could even lead to more avenues the glitch is being exploited
Let's be real, the majority of these guys should have been banned for the remainder of phase 2 at minimum
I honestly don't get it, though. This is an alpha. Nothing means anything. It's there just to test systems. Number one, what's the point of duping items, cheating, etc? It's all going to be wiped. And number two, I guess what's really the point of banning alpha accounts, unless maybe it's negatively impacting system testing.
Never fully ban anyone unless they directly hack accounts because it will reduce monthly income into the game.
Instead, just increase the suspension:
First offense is a 3 day ban.
Second offense is a 7 day ban.
Third offense is a 2 week ban.
Fourth offense is a one month ban.
Every offense after that is a 3 month ban.
And make sure the ban timer counts down only when the account is active.
Otherwise people will cancel their sub and start a new account until the timer ends.
the thing is, its a testing enviroment, people who exploit arent technicaly wrong, people who exploit alot and with malicious intent deserv to be banned
Steven wants people to go and try to exploit the game, find bugs and multiple ways to do exploits, people who got banned are probably people who did MULTIPLE EXPLOITS multiple times with a goal of gaining an advantage over other people
Let's see how this scales when they go live and have 10K players a night.
