  1. I was pretty unclear in my first version of this comment. It seems like a lot of people think that ashes of creation is already a great game and while it is definitely one of the most promising games and one I am very excited for there will like be one, if not many bad things about the game. I think Narc is doing harm because in his videos he claims AoC is already the best mmo and it isn’t even released. I don’t want Narc to stop making videos I love learning more about AoC and other mmos but I think he should settle down with the jabs against WoW, FFXIV and BDO.

  2. Groups of players high level with a ton of gold and that have high corruption can make custom labyrinths that makes the nodes near the place get debuffs. Making one would require the group to conquer an existing one dungeon to turn into a labyrinth, the harder the dungeon, the powerful the labyrinth is. The amount of gold and investment is clearly high but the advantages are quite clear. It's not generally worth it for the surrounding nodes to let the labyrinth stay. The Labyrinth will make monsters nearby more savage and stronger, in exchange you get higher quality monster drops, making players who aren't citizens profit from the selling the hides, body parts and gaining xp.

When the node gets a custom labyrinth, citizens would be able to clear it. Traps, Custom Monsters are able to be placed to slow it down. Players who originally made the labyrinth can command an army of corruption beasts or undead to attack nearby nodes. The monster coin system can also be put into this, making players who wants to join the attack can get coins. (Monster coin, Steven said it's a system where you can become a monster then get free cosmetics, correct me if I'm wrong) Only way to rid of the labyrinth is to make the original makers to disband it, or conquer it. Reaching the middle/hearth of the dungeon would be valid enough to be called as conquered, The benefits for the players who defeated and reached the end would get a ton of gold and titles (with unique abilities or not) and any new labyrinths can't be made for months. Only 1-20 labyrinths can be made out of the 130+ nodes in the world, so guilds who own castles are forced to not only fight neighboring guilds but also clear these labyrinths.

Why, I think this is good is because, now OP players that have unique titles and unique legendary end game gear can make more of an effect than conquering the nearby castle.

  4. I love the tavern idea, it would really add social aspects too seeing other people hanging out, just like the mysterious stranger in the tavern really feels like an adventure

  5. Exhaustion system? If I understood right, the game will automatically adjust the difficulty of the boss, based on the group's performance on minibosses. Adding a debuff system on top of this… idk, man.

Oh, Silkroad Online… 🙂 The Merchant-Guard-Thief system was indeed great in theory. But in real life (on EU servers) high level Turkish Thieves camped low level areas and butchered everyone.
Guild Union's trade run was fun tho'.

  6. Oh wow thanks for featuring my comment. Hopefully our comments will keep you going till NDA release.

I think I mentioned this in another video but Project Gorgon does have a very simple yes impactful hunger mechanic where your mana and health regen is practically null if you allow yourself to starve. Then of course the food itself can give all sorts of combat buffs with higher tier food giving better buffs which makes cooking in PG basically the most important crafting skill if you want to do any combat.

Why not just have both hunger and exhaustion mechanic in AOC as both would be satisfied at the tavern.

I'm sure I also mentioned it before when you brought up biomes but it would be cool to see harsh weather effecting your player. In Project Gorgon, for which I gave an example before I'm pretty sure, in cold climate maps you need to stay warm else you will freeze to death. Things like an emergency campfire, warm clothes and player spells/abilities and pet abilities can help with this. In deserts you need water for sure or you die of thirst.

It's not to the extent that you experience in a survival game but it does feel immersive when you have to plan ahead before you enter a harsh biome else you will die from your lack of preparation.

I hope you have the time to play it a bit as you said you would when you have the time.

    Love the video.

P.S. I know it takes a bit of time but adding chapters to your videos would be greatly appreciated.

  8. Finally someone who knows Silkroad Online. The "caravan-system" in that game was so thrilling ,exciting and also rewarding and its very similiar to Ashes I think. That is what I am most excited for.
