As a pve and pvp player and long timer mmo gamer it always amazes me the bad rap pvp gets. The absolute most toxic players I've encountered over 20 years of mmo play is pvers by far. The mindset of pvp shouldn't exist and my opinion trumps all others type mentality. The false sense of superiority and entitlement is what drives me to tbag them every chance I get. You guys said it right, go play something else.
If you havent played Dark Souls 3 Nyce you should.
The graphics are a bit dated, the story is shorter but it is more engaging, and the PvP is still alive and kicking.
Sekiro also, minus the pvp and the costumization. But it has better combat and a good story/world.
I think games of the year are unapologetic. They stick to their vision and brand. That's why they win. Look at assassins creed, which started as a powerhouse. It has lost it's way though and people dont care for it anymore.
Mmos can learn a few lessons.

For myself, I think I will have two characters at Launch, a Niküa Beastmaster Pirate to throw myself into PvP, and a Py'rai Scout to avoid PvP.
